BS players don't just leave for NYSC, or FCW, they leave the entire system because the kids become so dispassionate about the game after spending time at BS.
Some players give up on club soccer
Some players leave to go to other clubs
Some players GIVE up on the game altogether
Some players stay claiming they are geographically 'stuck'
At the end of the day, BS is just a victim of the drastically and rapidly changing model. MLS clubs are here to stay, and will grow in size and stature. The only way to combat that is to consolidate talent at the DA level. Beachside will be on the outside looking in, when they should have been the leader of it given their history and time advantage. They dropped the ball, others caught up, and now BS is on a slow, but apparent, demise.Comment

What is Beachside doing this winter? Do they go to any tournaments or anything?
Are Beachside teams traveling during spring break? I heard a few years ago they went to Spain but haven't heard much since then.
Does MK still run Beachside DA? I can't find him in the Academy manifest.
Does anyone actually know anything about this club or is it just slight of hand soccer.
the only thing I've learned is that they failed to deliver some facility, they might have done something shady with money, and their players are leaving for other clubs.

I guess that depends on your definition of real ;) But really, DA teams don't have any events in the winter and there are no games in the NE either. Non DA teams have the same winter issues every other team in the area has.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post
