Waterbury can't even support a travel program. They don't have one. Bunker Hill has about two teams and only boys.

never mind Waterbury, there's other towns around that region that could definitely support a premier club of that caliber

Not so much. The demographics aren't the same and BS needs $ to keep it going. OW is only 1/2 hour away (vs over an hour from Norwalk). FSA would suck away a good number of players East, and going west AC CT as well (at least for premier players and on-the-fence DA players). MK makes a ton of money from town travel, camps, BS juniors. The market just isn't nearly as big in and around Waterbury. Even Monroe was a big shift but at least it was closer to MK's sweet spot

Are Beachside teams traveling during spring break? I heard a few years ago they went to Spain but haven't heard much since then.

Does MK still run Beachside DA? I can't find him in the Academy manifest.

Does anyone actually know anything about this club or is it just slight of hand soccer.

the only thing I've learned is that they failed to deliver some facility, they might have done something shady with money, and their players are leaving for other clubs.

          Is this club real?

So how transparent and petty do you like to be?

Is it that important for you to post here again, listing what you perceive as this club's faults? What do you think you accomplish by this other that feeding your own personal ego? Do you feel you've made a significant contribution to Connecticut soccer by being such an arse?

AC CT? Not sure why they get brought up, they’re not very strong at all, they’re fine. Not to mention, if they had so many players capable of playing at BS now, then they already would be, a BS move to Waterbury wouldn’t make a difference there.

All the AC CT teams 2006 and younger have smashed beachside every time they’ve played. Younger branch teams, north and South, have about 6 wins between both teams the entire fall season.

I think what everyone is missing is the fact that beachside is making their families travel all over the state in order to save the club some money. So every time the slumlord opens a new facility in a dodgy part of town the parents are expected to follow? I actually don’t even blame them anymore if the parents are clown enough to continue this mess.

How does the club "make" anybody do anything here? Isn't participation in this club and its activities entirely one of personal choice? Could it be possible that those parents willing to stay with this club believe it actually meets their soccer needs?

Irrelevant club aging out. Go to NY.

AC competes for the premier-level player. AC has had some great older players there too that didn't want DA. Many already come from BS territory and towards the Waterbury area also. BS's bread and butter isn't their DA teams. FSA is also way too close for comfort up there as well.

Isn't relevancy a personal consideration in the selection of a soccer club?

They change it all the time and you can't get a straight answer from them. They never practiced up that way before so how would families know that might happen last May and June when considering offers?. BS is a club with no home and even worse they're scattered all over. Now they're chasing after the cheapest rents instead of paying a few $ more to better serve their customers

If you are not their customer, then why does it matter to you at all?

Do you know for certain what your club will be doing a year from now? Do you know for certain who will be coaching what team?

What guarantees have you seen ever in the world of club soccer?

Because the truck to Waterberry wasn’t announced until halfway through the season, and when you’ve already paid close to five grand you don’t have a choice now do you smart azz?

The reason the younger branch teams and premier teams have done awful is a mix of the curriculum and coaching. NONE of the coaches at either south or north have ever had any premier experience and I know for fact that one of the north coaches has 0 coaching experience. 0 coaching experience and was hired to coach at what is supposed to be a professionally run program.
