The north coaches are awful, what are you watching?

On a serious note how do you justify paying 4K for 0 improvement and 0 results. MANY parents are unhappy and the level of incompetence is embrassing. This has been a disastrous “revival” of the girls program.

We gave it a fair shot a few years ago as they were trying to revive it. Saw the talent wasn't there and went elsewhere. So glad we went with our gut.

Have you put any thought that maybe parents and their kids are just tired of the Kool Aid he and the club is selling.

He’s been offering golden eggs for the past 25 years, the parents of such eggs don’t need BSC.
They go to Redbulls or NYCFC where it’s worth something.

FZ, the girls coaching director, is a top quality person and is very dedicated to his craft.

The problem with BS girls is that it is overshadowed by the boys DA program. Boys DA at BS is the crown jewel, and MK spends most all of his time focusing on that side of the club. As a top female player, this is not the place to be because you are often an afterthought in the big scheme of things at BS. Better served at CFC Arsenal or NYSC.

“ Top Quality person” is that on his profile ? There many druggies that are top quality too but I wouldn’t ask them for any advice.
“ Dedicated at his craft” are we talking about a coach or a chef? No wonder the programs screwed up , parents have no idea why they’re at BSC but only to rub shoulders with other ignorant soccer parents, and of course the rumors of moms sleeping with the coach’s.

BS doesn't care

I find it hard to believe that Beachside just doesn't care anymore. I find it challenging to believe that coaches don't care.

There was a time when Beachside was the ONLY option if you wanted elite training and Club feel.

What I'm wondering.... is what changed? Why is Beachside all of a sudden the 'bad seed'?

I get the NYCFC thing - them taking all the top talent
I get the local competition thing - NYSC and others
I get the no facility thing - renting fields and paying top dollar after failed Monroe
I get the coaches leaving thing - they get bullied just like the parents
I get the limited practice issue - 1 or 2 a week in the winter, and 2 a week in Fall/spring
I get the no 'Trips' while others do - MK is against the trips apparently

I understand all of that, but all of that above has ALWAYS been the case, maybe aside from NYCFC and local competition. So is that it? Is it the NYCFC and local competition that has destroyed this club's reputation.

There was talk of MK stepping away from Academy, I just went to their website and some guy named Paul is now in charge of the Academy (older ages top teams) is that true also?

There is all sorts of talk of an IRS investigation into the club, is that true as well?

I mean what the heck is going on over there.... being a CFC parent has never felt so good. At the same time, we want competition, and that club is just falling down.... its a shame.

Answers to BS

Does Beachside care? I have no idea, and I don't care. It feels bad being there. We're leaving.

There was a time when MK could treat you like garbage and there was nowhere else to go, that is true. That is no longer true. Good bye MK.

What has changed is EVERYTHING, except Beachside. Unwilling to move with the times, they are now left behind. Happens to anyone who doesn't adapt and mature.

NYCFC took the top talent, not just from Beachside, from everyone. Everyone is not folding like Beachside.

CFC, NYSC, and others are on the rise. They are on the rise because they are doing a better job. End of story.

Beachside was first to the party (1994) still no facility. They had a huge head start and couldn't get it done. Lehman is gone, so is Chemical bank, so is Bear Sterns. Boohooo. adapt and win or get savaged. That is life.

Coaches leave because they can earn more elsewhere. Beachside is cash strapped now. More coaches will leave.

Practices cost money, fields cost money. Cash strapped = less field time = less practices. Our boys teams play with older girls on Saturday games at Omars facility. Are you kidding ME!

Trips - we still go on trips, we just do it away from Beachside. Beachside lacks the organizational structure to get this done. Two years ago Mickey went on a trip with his son to Spain somewhere..... the club goes nowhere.

Paul Melitsanopoulos IS the Academy Director now. He is a good guy, but does what MK says. Same ole same ole.

IRS investigation.... no idea at all. But MK stepped away from Academy right around the same time as this news broke. Where there is smoke there is fire.

CFC is not the answer..... NYSC might be. Heck we're going to try out at World Class and do THAT drive if need be because THAT is how bad our lives are right now at Beachside.
