It will be interesting to see if these high school kids can have impact playing on academy league.

Poorly made point. Seems like you are trying to connect too many dots to make your point

That AC CT player was a senior who left before first practice.

Player leaving for BS will have more travel and cost with BS. Although he will get more attention

          Furthermore

          - San Diego decision was made early before any game
          - First games have all been in CT.
          - This weekend is first travel and it's to PA.

You should be asking why left BS for high school.

Maybe he wanted to play with his friends.

I think the moral to this story is you can still play High School and play Academy. There are no more restrictions as you can see kids playing both. This is a good thing.

Only true for poor Academy teams

Tell that to the kids who have made the sacrifice to give up HS soccer because they were told to. USSF and clubs like BS starting to get desperate to keep the ship afloat that they'll skirt the rules. Hypocrites.

Parents and kids see what is happening and understandably don't like it. It might solve their short term cash and performance crisis but in the long run will hurt them. The whole facility fiasco didn't win them any favors either. Families have many choices out there. Not a smart move when the market is already shrinking.

Look for a mass BS exodus at end of season
