their email said they've raised $1M so far. Thing is, this isn't like a fundraiser with college or prep school alumni. They've gotten that with folks willing to donate. It's youth soccer. I can't see many families ponying up serious money to build fields, especially if their kids aren't there any longer. With a facility, multiple fields, land, parking, it's a big investment

If it's the latter, the facility won't open for 2-3 years. Bank loans take time. Then zoning. THEN construction. Good idea and hope it comes off, but it won't happen any time soon if they don't already have financing lined up. How big is the property? Cost to build two turf fields? Clubhouse? Has to be 8 acres or so. Land along will be over a million. Add in construction costs and the project will be 3M easy with no indoor facility to generate revenue or train during lousy weather.

indoor facility would not generate any real revenue. Population density is just not there nor is there a large college are bunch of highschool with big budgets needing to rent space in the area. Insports and Ole to the South and NYA North, Danbury Dome West, CFC new place to east. Good luck filling any indoor place with outside groups in that location.

If he can fill with Gold Coast suckers than it might work but there will need to be bussing services. Straight up 136. Sure that already in the business plan and how Mickey can skim money off that service. See the bus now "MKTEL".
