Even if USSF asked he could make up an excuse for the delay like permits or engineering. He could easily play that card for another 18 months.

They will also lose players 15-20 to Boys ECNL because they have no chance at the national team and don't want to give up high school. BS is getting squeezed on both ends. Not a good combo.

Yes. They are feeling the squeeze. FSA, OW and now CFC have their own homes. To stay competitive/relevant in the CT market they too need a place to call home. The "rented field" approach no longer works if they want to keep up with the "Joneses".....

Yes the field issue has been there for years, but other clubs are making progress on enhanced facilities and are passing them by. Move forward or die. Status quo is not an option.

Let's be honest, players 1-14 don't really have a shot at the National team either. I'm not saying there aren't a few top quality players at BS, but come on, none of them will ever be on the NT. The end game for 99.999% of top CT players is college soccer. I agree that boys ECNL will be a draw for those not wanting to give up HS.
