Even the NY leagues are half-speed in the fall because doing HS and club is too much. Other poster is right - in their base territory the HS soccer scene is pretty good. not absurb. Some states highschool soccer is a spring sport some even winter. YOU could focus on the tournament circuit. there are more than enough tournaments to keep busy just need to be willing to travel. Those willing to pay for the better training than JV or freshman teams would be willing to pay for travel also. Multiple clubs, including ECNL clubs (much stronger than BS premier) tried to do that and it went nowhere. You can't run teams with 6 players that don't want to play for their HS teams or couldn't make varsity. Travel to tournaments? There's virtually none in the NE because everyone is playing HS in the fall so that means flying. BS parents have money but traveling almost every weekend to play soccer? Plus you're talking about BS premier. Their teams aren't very good. If you can't make DA you go elsewhere, like ECNL or other EDP/NPL teams. Even their DA teams are losing players, as are many premier teams. Yes BS u18 team did very well but the U16s did very poorly. Overall MLS squads draw the better talen and have the resources, obviously with some exceptions like the TX teamComment
