There's very few players that would want to skip their HS season just to train in the fall with BS (there's essentially no competition to play in the fall). In FC with the big gun schools the soccer is pretty good and most kids want to play for their HS teams.

Those willing to pay for the better training than JV or freshman teams would be willing to pay for travel also. Coaches have work year around. win win.

The NON MLS wildcard Texan Houston 17/18s wins the Academy Championship.
The team made of 85% Mexican/Latin American kids just goes to prove the talent and BEACHSIDEs platform sucks!!.

However, their success shouldn't be used as an indictment for Beachside. It's really an indictment of Dynamo academy and also the pay to play system

Yes BS u18 team did very well but the U16s did very poorly. Overall MLS squads draw the better talen and have the resources, obviously with some exceptions like the TX team

They are "advantaged" in the sense they don't get taught the robotic style of play loved so much by Americans.

Funding and facilities are no match for culture.

Agree with your comments, shouldn't the Dynamos be tapping into that same culture. If they are, why haven't the Dynamo been as successful as FC Dallas or Texans, a non MLS club in Houston
