-why families stay even when miserable
-over/under on how many games the 07,06,05 DA and premier teams will win next year
-what will MK say at the club meeting in the fall

#1: their kids don't have any better options (not good enough for MLS) OR parents don't want to travel more OR the parents have drunk the koolaid and just haven't realized it yet
#2: depends on who they bring in. They're still young and there's still talent out there. The older teams have more BS trained talent and they're doing poorly. That doesn't speak well for the premise of development

Final rosters for this fall. (How much turn over and why, where they went.)?
Why MK is not coaching?
Other coaching assignments and credentials or lack off?
What is the progress for home fields for BS?
Will the training space number of sessions improve for teams since no longer trying squeeze operating budget to build Mickey Kydes soccer park.
What going to happen to money donated for those fields?
Merger targets?
Teams competitiveness especially older teams since tier system is coming soon?
Girls program?

Final rosters for this fall. (How much turn over and why, where they went.)? Many gone, either up, down or lateral. Point being they're not staying and in larger numbers than ever before
Why MK is not coaching? Speculation/rumor he's been sanctioned by USSF but wait to the fall to see for certain
Other coaching assignments and credentials or lack off? Good coaches are avoiding BS like the plague
What is the progress for home fields for BS? None
Will the training space number of sessions improve for teams since no longer trying squeeze operating budget to build Mickey Kydes soccer park. No. It hurts profits.
What going to happen to money donated for those fields? That literally is the million dollar question
Merger targets? With who? MK's toxic personality and lack of facilities makes it of little interest to almost all clubs
Teams competitiveness especially older teams since tier system is coming soon? Don't expect to see any improvement, probably even a continued slide
Girls program? Will continue on life support. Next year probably the last year for a high school team

So please help explain why you will stick it out. Your post clearly shows you know about many of the issues (not all). What age is your kid and why did you not jump off the sinking ship?

Beachside Future

Beachside has problems, there are 350 pages of those problems highlighted on this blog.

MK wanted/wants to move the club further north and west, to be further away from MLS environment, and NYSC/FCW.

The situation is that there are now so many DA clubs in close proximity to one another (NYSC, FCW, Beachside, even World Class is doable for many). That was not historically the case, and now the situation is that in the past, the over abundance of talent and #'s that Beachside was able to draw upon is gone. Its gone, and in the current state, its not coming back.

When you mix in the MLS environment (technically being close enough to NYCFC, Red Bulls, and NE Rev) Beachside has and will be cannibalized. The solution for this was to CHANGE the demographic and move to Monroe. That failed also.

As NYSC has their own home facility (amazing indoor), World Class has their own home facility (amazing outdoor), and FCW has a long term lease, Beachside is left renting fields all over the place, with no home base and no realistic future of one.

The MLS teams are now kings of the hill talent wise
Competing DA teams have better facilities
No family has any idea where Beachside is going/moving/destined to be
Unable to raise the same $ each year due to lost faith in finances
MK is under major pressure from USSF and other issues related to all the above

The toxicity of Beachside grows, and the situation is dire there. They (Beachside) can't keep increasing their fees as they are not the best in any category (fields, talent, DA status, etc), they can't raise the money needed, and are getting squeezed on field costs each year at a faster rate than they can raise/increase fees.

At the end of the day, Beachside is just to much of yesterday and not enough of tomorrow. These 'declines' don't happen overnight, but they are apparent with each new 'competing' challenge.

MLS not going away - talent drain to them will continue
NYSC will be the new best DA option with home facility and indoor fields
Beachside has no field coming or plans for it
MK making enemies out of everyone
Families feel betrayed and lost at Beachside

This is a recipe for a slow, gradual decline, year on year, for the next several years. I predict Beachside will be DONE in 5 years. Whether that means they move to Monroe, Idaho, or MK leaves the club, the Beachside that is known today will not exist in 5 years.
