Is it just the same few disgruntled BS parents commenting or could BS (or any club) possibly be that bad?

Having been on TS for a while, I can say that i've seen club bashing come in cycles. One day everyone is dumping on Oakwood and a week later the hot topic is why FSA sucks.

HOWEVER, I think the level of anti-BS sentiment is new. I think there is a fire behind all this smoke. I doubt it's a just a few people. The sheer volume and frequency suggests it's a lot of people. From what I have seen there have been posts from uLittle parents all the way up to DA parents.

I have no opinion about BS. My kids have played various BS teams at various times and I've seen quality from BS and I have also seen disasters.

The one question I have is... folks have posted about a lawsuit against BS. If there really is one... would that be public record? I've found nothing.

It was a supposed IRS investigation over the money raised for the now not happening facility. No way to prove that unless you know someone in the IRS :)

I thought I saw several posts mentioning a civil suit.

A guy claiming to be a lawyer opined on the Westport thread. He then purported to have filed suit against BS

Why are so many kids going to NYSC? Is that just a rumor? Is the training there better than BS training?

Training. New facility. They don't treat customers like dirt.

                      Is that enough reasons?

You nailed it. When we chose BS, we weren't looking for a warm cozy touchy/feely club where our kid would get hugs every day. Our kid is talented, is addicted to the sport, and is obsessed with trying to get better. He wanted to be pushed and given the opportunity to see where his talent, passion, and hard work would take him.

We looked at other clubs but MK did a great job of selling BS as the right place. For a while we thought that was the case. But given the amount of money we paid and how committed we have been to the club, you would think we would be treated with some amount of courtesy or respect. We can't get a straight answer to even the most basic questions. Decisions are made without any consultation or explanation - which is OK if those decisions are the right ones for the players. However, it's clear the decisions are always based on how it will benefit BS or MK.

We are leaving because there are other places that will work my son hard and push him to be better... but do it in a way that treats him as an individual and not a piece of meat.

You can tell your son to park his fat ass on the couch and eat Doritos while he watches Rosanne.

I'll tell my son to follow his passion and drive to be the best he can be in soccer and in life. I'll be sure to tell my son to say hi to your son when your boy is filling up my son's car at the gas station in 10 years.

Boom! Douchy response but 100% correct. We are all here because we want our kids to be better. Whether u11 or u19 or college or pro, a coach's job is to push a player to his/her potential. If the kid wants it... then by all means push hard.

At least my son will own the gas station when your son will be remembered as that “whatever happened to that kid who used to be good”, and is now a travel soccer coach. You fn dikhed cum eater
