Beachside has access to a variety of fields that they rent but don’t control. Worse is that they are vagabonds.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostSometimes renting makes more financial sense than owning; all depends on costs, how long you'll rent vs own, state of the market etc. Only way BS can own is the outer areas of FC like Monroe. Far too costly to build closer to their base.

That was a fair price then. He'll lose even more once closing costs and realtor fees are taken out. Bet he wishes he had rented.

Beachside fund raising
The issue is not whether Beachside should rent or own their fields. At the end of the day that is a club decision and it is what it is. The issue is that they’ve been raising money for years for what apparently was an owned facility....which is now not going to happen. If it does happen, the families that donated who were promised a facility for THEIR kids....will never see the built facility benefit their kids. They want/we want our money back!
And to be blunt, we want to stop having to ask for it, and want BS management to return it like professionals.
If they want to rent forever, fine. But don’t raise money for a bridge to nowhere. It’s wrong....and we’ll find out soon if it was illegal.

Own or not own is MK choice but several issues.
1) can’t ask for donations for project that fails and not give money back is ask for
2) Should not be skimming money from operations budget of a non profit for two purposes at the same time silent fundraising for field of dreams and funding expenses for Mickey Kydes soccer enterprise.
Success is choice and Mickey made his and now he has a big albatross around his neck and it’s not the one he thought he would ever have to deal with.
