The argument ends there. Can your High School teams compete at a high level? If they can’t you are basically a ulittle travel club. The sportings Ginga vale etc can barely field teams at the high school level. And they certainly aren’t competitive by then. The same things happens year after year. Their hs teams are just a few remaining kids that may be playing d3. And they barely have enough players. They fill in their teams by bringing up younger kids. The 2 Ecnl teams, oakwood and then on the EDP side only rush select and Yankee can compete regionally in high school. If you are at the other clubs don’t fall for the marketing nonsese. Get out while you can or junior year you will figure it out and it will be too late

I agree! Traditionally sporting has lost a lot of players to Oakwood and FSA (boys and girls). With better coaches at the HS ages (if they can retain them), perhaps they are now looking to retain these players and maintain their u-little teams so that they continue playing with and beating the big boys at the HS ages. Their boys side has been very respectable at older ages, but their girls sides definitely needed something .... perhaps they just got it.

Not to say anything but I haven't seen a good Sporting ULittle team all year. Both boys and girls get crushed against any of the big 3. Not just beat, crushed. Even my kids town team beat them on both the girls and boys side...

Funny you think they will make that much of a difference in those few teams... guess only time will tell.

Being competitive at the high school ages happens when you consolidate talent from other clubs. Not just retain your own ulittle teams. Sporting won’t retain their top players. They will always choose Ecnl or da if they have the chance. So if they aren’t consolidating and recruiting kids from other clubs you will always get the dying high school
              teams

There is no DA here anymore and and but a single ECNL cub worth trying for at CFCU .... all the rest is not worth it and almost no one will crack the CFCU rosters after U14. Not that they do not have talent, but it just isnt worth it for CFCU to upset the paying parents of the incumbents for little extra ability (or equality).

As usual a poster takes a general point and turns it against a specific club.

Given the fact that wages are going up, it will be interesting whether CFC can pay their coaches enough for this supposed success.

Reality check: coaches are poorly paid everywhere. Club owners drive nicer cars. At all clubs

Since this is an OW thread, when will they do much needed repairs on their facility?

so club owners (who invested their own money and take all the risks) should not have rewards for being business savvy?

I assume in your world, everyone gets paid exactly the same no matter what they do for work
