Not off to a stellar start.
18/U19 Boys beat Bolts and Seacoast. Check again.

So you’re saying they live and die by the boys? Check the results from the first games against the mighty Bolts and Seacoast. Not looking good, luckily they don’t have to play the real Academy teams. Sorry, the u15’s and u17’s have 3 games all year against real academy teams.

You’re correct. Luckily they don’t have to play any real academy teams anymore. They should do well in the B league.

This is an issue all the DA B teams will have, not just OW or BS. Part of the appeal of DA is even if you're not with an MLS club you still get to PLAY the pro clubs. Now they barely will and I agree that hurts the non MLS clubs. If MLS pulls out together then it's only a step above ECNL with more restrictions.

Ok, sounds legitimate, but I guess my question is are there that many kids playing HS without a premier club commitment that are now suddenly going to jump into GDA.

Again, I am not trying to make this about OW bashing, I am just curious to whether the bill is now due on continuing to play kids up and there aren't enough kids at the actual age to form teams because the other kids left or were cut.

Why do you even care? And how about shortening up your run on sentences. This site is so fûcking strange sometimes in that people “need to know” specifics about clubs/leagues they’re not even involved with.

There's nothing sudden about it - arrangements were made at tryout time last spring. Wink wink

Take a screenshot of rosters now and compare again in March. With the exception of any U14s the new additions in that time will have been playing on their HS teams.

Both Major League Soccer and other youth clubs all over the U.S. have Development Academy teams, from the high school age all the way down to U-12. If you happen to play at a DA, you aren't allowed to participate in high school soccer or any other competitive soccer opportunity unless it's with a youth national team.Mar 28, 2019

So OW DA plans to pull in 7-9 girls who played the forbidden HIGH SCHOOL and didn’t receive that super special DA training for the extra 3 months? So, why is high school banned again? This isn’t a ringing endorsement of the program.
