In DC, Virginia and Maryland 60 clubs from the various leagues — former DA clubs, ECNL clubs, USYS and US Club clubs — got together to share principles of how to operate during the lockdown. They agreed to cooperate and defer competition against one another and recruiting until after the stay at home orders were lifted, and to share ideas on how to help kids

In Washington ... the clubs decided to move up tryouts by more than two weeks with little advance notice they were doing so (05 and olders for ECNL and RCL and US Club were supposed to be next week), to have a recruiting free for all in the form of a virtual fantasy league draft, and to force as many families as possible to make decisions without having had an opportunity to meet new potential coaches and teammates. Really poor leadership by the DOC’s and league commissioners in this state.
