Who is Gala FC? Newish club? What league do they play in?

Any one know their founder Daghan Kesim?

One of their teams is in first div at EFC Cup and I've never heard of them.

It’s a Rec team out of the Bothell area. They have lots of underprivileged kids who don’t have a lot of money. It’s the club Atletico pretends to be like but they have a lot of rich kids on their roster now.

Ecnl r teams are at the level of the C team at the bigger select clubs. Not a very high standard

Some might be. But many are not. These broad sweeping generalizations are idiotic.

They're not rec teams. They hold tryouts and that makes them "select". Based on the 2022 Form 990s, fees average out to $1500 per player. Characterizing them as "rec" and casting them as underdogs makes for a great story, but the facts aren't all straight. Which is no surprise on this chatboard.

I have seen Surf play everywhere, I have never seen Gala FC. Where do they play?

They had teams that played is the CF Surf cup and then the next weekend in the XF Select Cup They actually did ok, better than the mass of surf teams there

Nowhere on the Titans/WWS site or on the Gala site do I see any reference to either offering rec teams. Rec means no player placement based on ability. It also typically means a volunteer coach with a price point no higher than $300 for the fall season.
It's popular on this forum to use rec as a pejorative term for "any team or club I perceive as playing at a level lower than my kid's team is at, but outside of this forum, it does have a specific meaning.
