kids will have the option to play graduation year U16-U19.
U13-15 would be Birth year with allocated spots for players who fall under the trapped player category to play full time.

has anyone heard anything regarding a change at all?
Is this an ECNL decision or US Soccer?
Who cares it's just a patch

How do you know? Did you hear that directly from somewhere? Is this just an ECNL change or is the assumption that it will it affect all age groups/leagues, even the younger kids?

Hope it happens. Much better than all the bad/huge roster combo teams & trapped 8th graders with nothing to do. These clubs really need to figure out what to do with kids that decide not to play high school ball. You pay the same price for a much shorter season.

I’m pretty they said not a done deal? But I’m not wearing my reading glasses.

ECNL needs USSF to make a hard switch to SY. However ECNL is looking into something similar to biobanding that would allow younger players to play down. If SY is not sanctioned for the governing soccer system.

*If the hard switch isn’t made.
