My daughters played at Liverpool and we entertained EFC this summer and even trialed my middle child on a team for 2 months. We loved that particular coach. But when we signed up for the technical trainings, that Claire ran, she clearly hand picked and focused on certain players. It was outrageously obvious. She clearly had players she focused on and the others were largely dismissed. If this is how she operates in a program offered to everyone and anyone, I can only imagine the favoritism she plays on her own teams. -

Coaches are human and will always have favorites. A lot of times it’s not even the best player and definitely not the one who sees most playing minutes.Comment

You guys stay away from this coach! Stay far, far away!
and make the tryouts easier for us who love her team. . I’m honestly hoping there won’t be too many changes to the team roster. So hopefully this thread helps that objective, lol.Comment

Was there a coach you daughter had previously who was much better than Claire? Is so, can you please elaborate why?
I’m genuinely asking these questions because we got Claire and I haven’t seen anything major that’s negative. Every coach is not perfect. But she’s alright…. Am I missing something?
And about the playing time — I haven’t seen more EQUAL minute distribution at any club. One could argue that the stronger or hard working players should play more than the lazy ones, but she just divides equally for everyone. For example, if there are 10 players on 7v7 game day she will distribute minutes as follows:
So 1 goalie, 6 field players. She will divide each half of the game into 3 equal segments. 3 players on bench, 6 start. Claire will sub out 3 of the starters 1/3 of the way through the 1st half, and then the other 3 starters 2/3 into first half. Essentially, each player only sits on the bench 1/3 of each half. Same thing in 2nd half. And with every game she rotates who starts.

Javier Cruz. Other teams want him as their coach too, this is coming from a parent on one of those teams. He would be a massive upgrade on Claire and other coaches at Eastside in my opinion.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

Watching his sessions they are night and day not just compare to Claire’s but from other coaches at Eastside. Talking to parents on the side, his players love him, they learn a lot tactically.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment
