Originally posted by Guest View PostOk, ok, I cannot take this anymore. When pacnw ran the epd program, they told a pspl parent that epd did not support the pspl academy. Also, a pspl parent, reported, had the threaten to sue to get her kid a fair look at epd. That year, she was the only pspl players in the pool.
Again, no need for a tryout. If you are going to take the check, then earn it.
I am not a homer for pspl or what ever they are calling themselves now.
But there are a lot of alumni pspl playing good minutes at D1 schools.
I think people just get so offended when their kid doesn't get selected, and then come up with all sorts of excuses about why it's rigged, etc...
And finally, what in the world would you sue for??? Threaten to sue??? Sorry, that just sounds ridiculous. Sign your kid up for the tryouts. Take your kid to tryouts. If your kid stands out in the top 20-30, they will probably make it! The bottom 10 or so, yeah it's tougher!
I am a parent of a kid who's been selected to the pool a few times. Made some travel teams but cut from others. It was a good experience. I've watched a few tryouts. Lots of kids, a few standouts. Ultimately, no one can stop a kid from being an incredible player. Not making EPD doesn't block a kid from becoming really good! Put in the time, it will be rewarded. There are lots of avenues for success.

Pspl does not have the depth, but don’t say that don’t have talent players. From the girls side, many of the alums are playing Dl.
pspl is a good place to start, but you want to finish in a ecnl club.

No one improves by going epd, it’s just a vanity thing for parents. All the hard work and training is done at the club level, ecnl preferably.

Let’s be honest. The big club level provides you the opportunity to show your skills. The big club level allows you to play against better team.
but the practices and training with the club had little benefit. Practicing 3 to 4 night a week, was not protective. Twice a week and the outside training From the club would have been much better.
