I have a small technical player that plays soccer like a chess game. _a 2013 _, They always think 10 moves ahead. Which clubs like small smart/technical players the most? I know they will grow as we are normal sized but late blooming people. I am just worried a big dumb fast kid is going to make them look bad .I wwant them to be developed while waiting for growth and not put on a crappy team so some big booter can reign.

Put them on a team with big fast kids that boot the ball. Kids need to learn to adapt and deal with different things. If he is truly a chess player on the pitch thinking 10 moves ahead they will run circles around kids and put at the 10.
I know, because that's my kid too.

Is small/technical parent code for not athletic? All teams like good and effective players. If your son is that he will thrive anywhere.

If he is really good there is only one logical choice in the PNW: Crossfire. It’s where the best and most competitive players go.

My kid fits this same profile. Where I’ve seen these kind of kids excel are on the Titans and Celtics, depending on where you live. They both play WPL, not NPSL/RCL, if that matters. Might want to check them out.

whoever said that SU is based on short passes has a kid on an anomaly team. That club favors kids who are big and fast and over-hold the ball. If you want a club that focuses on heads up smart plays then go to PacNW or Seattle Celtic. Kids at SU who play tiki taka were trained at other clubs then jumped to SU for high school for ECNL.

WP, SU and XF play physical rough soccer for the 2013’s.
Sound 2013 would be one to check for 2013’s They have a very good coach.
Eastside 2013 will be moving to physical soccer with Troy. Expect a major push towards bigger faster kids. They just lost to XF by 16 in state cup.
Titans & Celtic if your ok with PSPL. (Not all Titans teams are equal)
There is also Bellevue Rush, Cascade FC and Bellevue United.

Sounds like your kid is attracted to possession styles and possibly some thing called positional play. Best club for that style of play is Eagleclaw that plays out of Starfire Sports. Club is well known for its Spanish style.
