What's the deal with SCA. Apparently they are trying to play coed at the Super League Division in WPL which is against the rules. They aren't even a WA team. And now some parents have a petition alledging sexism. ???

It’s absurd that anyone would care whether a u12 boys team rostered a girl. If her team and club want to roster her, why would the league or any opponent care? It has happened in many leagues for many years, and playing with boys can be a part of the mix of good development opportunities for female players. She is U13. If she’s that good she could play ECNL. PSPLs rules are pretty clear. What would happen if the situation was reversed and a boy wanted to play on a girls team.Comment

If the situation were reversed the boy wouldn’t be allowed to play on a girls team. Why? Because there is no competitive or developmental reason for a boy to play on a girls team (whereas here the club things it is better for its team and this girl to play on its boys team). US Club (pspl’s governing body) doesn’t have any rule against this and one of the top 05 girls in the country plays on a boys team in mls next.
