Good article by Joe. But there is simply no easy way to fix it at this point. The best players are going to want to play on the best teams and unless you restrict (which isn’t going to happen) which teams kids can play for based upon geographical boundaries, you are going to get leagues like ECNL that have good teams and weak teams.

He's not making much money, he's pretty passionate about what he's doing. He is a successful corporate attorney: https://ashbaughbeal.com/bio/joe-campos/
He would sometimes comment on the old board many years ago. Good guy, and I appreciate him putting his money and time into this. But he's been at it for over a decade and his teams can't attract the best talent. And, unfortunately they are just another club where parents can pay thousands of dollars so their dd and/or ds can say they are elite.

Joe may have good ideas but it is chicken and the egg problem. He needs quality players to attract more quality players and breaking into the current system is hard. The Eagleclaw teams are just not that good. It is like asking parents to send their kids to the struggling school to make it better. Most parents still with the established school.
