Of course, I assume that one local youth club will rather instantly go from "we can get you a scholly at Oregon State" to "avoid OSU like the plague"

Other good Beaver players will be getting very antsy. No one wants to stay on a sinking ship. Particularly if the coach isn’t doing anything because they are personally safe for a couple years.
But the OSU athletic department has been down this road before. When the women's basketball program hired Scott Rueck following the disastrous tenure of LaVonda Wagner, half the players quit the team, and Rueck in his first season actually had to conduct open tryouts to fill out the roster, something virtually unheard of in Division I sports.
Six years later, the Lady Beavers were in the Final Four. (Of course, the Ducks went and stole his top assistant, who was instrumental in his recruiting success, and now we have two elite women's basketball programs in the state).
But this sort of sniping sounds a bit like a sacked former assistant, or one of his toadies, trying to shank the new sheriff in town....

Man all this misery being put forth at OSU!!! Last year they beat Stanford, Tied Cal, took UCLA to double overtime, beat Utah, Colorado and competed well with all but UW. At seasons end they got rid of a coach who was a friggin anchor, yet another win for the program.
Losing two great players hurts. But good things are coming for this group. Go Beavs and great job girls!!!

Oregon is picking up transfers and internationals right and left. The pac is no joke.
Dunno about the other.
New coach is a woman. KL is still listed as an assistant coach, interestingly enough

Losing the assistant to UNLV was a big loss.
