Sometimes you just have bad teams in the ECNL. It is still the top womens league out there.

Both of my kids had great coaches. Both developed the players individually and taught them a lot about the game and tactics. We definitely had some bad ones along the way.

Older daughter's team had a large recruiting class, most successful in college. Younger daughter's team in good shape and hopefully they will have a season next year to wrap it up.

People who are spend their time anonymously praising ECNL are DOCs, coaches, or board members from ECNL clubs who have a financial motive or parents of kids who are paying top dollar to an ECNL team and want to make sure their investment gives them a leg up on the other kids who can't afford it. This is fact. You are one of those hacks.

I will say is that it is indeed a fact that ECNL players get more exposure to college recruiters. Traveling also yields more varied and better competition on average than you will find locally... especially in Oregon.

if you are a marginal player, getting a large volume of college coaches will increase the likelihood you will get offers from schools you never heard of and do not care about.

The key is to pick the schools you want to attend and make sure they see you, if it is a good fit.

USYS is the best league of all time producing every player on the 91, 99, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 & 2019 USA world cup teams.

US Club league (ecnl) isn't even a drop in the bucket compared to the decades and hundreds of thousands of top players, clubs & teams the USYS has produced.

This narrative that the upstart US Club ecnl is the (lol) women's top league--isn't even fake news it's a complete fabrication of reality.

Playing in the US Club league has no scientific facts or data that would substantiate kids in this league get more exposure, unless you meant being closer to the sun due to useless travel in airplanes.

With the internet and streaming now in vogue a girl in North Dakota might get more views on you tube than the poor girl who traveled cross countrry to play in the 5th tier of the US Club rained out (ecnl) N.J showcase, who got zippo exposure.

OYSA/NL teams have place more girls in good schools over the past 4-5 years. Fact. ECNL is good too but not a good of numbers.
