No you just want to talk crap because your daughter got cut at some point
I will agree certain age groups have state teams that are better than some ecnl teams but not as a whole. That is a joke

Crossfires younger teams 08, 07 are struggling with no feed from thusc, all women coaches left, tired of the good ole boy status. How many women coaches at crossfire?
There are weak teams in Seattle also and results if those ever happen will show that.

They (US Club ecnl) must not discriminate or turn away any player, team or club or they will be dissolved by US Soccer, yup that's the over arching edict that both US Club & USYS must follow.
If you are clueless enough to pay the fee for useless travel, guess what your Oregon club is welcome to join.
Every club from Oregon that has ever wanted to be part of this horror show of travel has been accepted, all whopping 3 of them. 100% admittance rate for Oregon Clubs.
This travelling Sh1t Show is now the neighborhood weekly crap jamboree.
Happy New Year to all the clowns wearing masks! As they rob parents blind.

And let’s talk about the better few teams in USYS locally right now that are not graduating this year, so WA Timbers, Eastside Timbers, Capitol Timbers has a team or two. They are either absolutely killing any of their OYSA competition this Fall or in the case of WA Timbers last year their best teams played in the WA RCL league, it is clear they were desperate for better competition so they were committed to driving up north. When these better non-ECNL teams can pay for travel again, they will. Travel Tournaments, USYS National League games, etc.
ECNL is not some scapegoat here. The best teams in the area travel to get varied competition.

Thorns barely got in this year, only by the graces of Thorns/Timbers ownership personally getting involved was this allowed and even then, only because they had started a Pre-academy, they partially fund this academy, which no other ECNL club in the area does this or very many in the nation, and of course, the power and recognition of the Thorns first team in female sports. And if you paid attention, they were nearly the last DA team allowed to transfer in to the ECNL. Many girls left the Thorns for Crossfire during this “we don’t know where we will play period” just so they could stay on a team playing in the ECNL. If you look outside the OR Market, the ECNL denied dozens of clubs entry. Seattle Reign to name one locally, but again if you cross reference former DA teams with where they all went, you will see many had to go to other leagues.

US Club has accepted all 3 Oregon clubs that registered for their ecnl travel/showcasing enterprise.
1. THUSC/OSSA (aka cu), 2. FC PDx & 3.Westside Timbers (aka pdx thorns academy).
No Oregon club would ever again subject 6 of their teams to this insanity and mindless spending on travel, even though US Club would still take them as they have demonstrated no matter how diluted and irrelevant.this state has become.

Doubtful this type of irrational & delusional thinking will 'fly' with future Oregonian parents, post covid19. Our new normal will again resemble -- 'normal' in Oregon.
A solution to dilution is on it's way.

As we have seen over the past 8 years it doesn't really matter.
There are good players that compete in ECNL.
Less so there were some good players in DA (now defunct).
On a pure numbers basis, the travel teams that competed in FWRL, National League and traveled to top tournaments produced just as many good players (Salmon Creek, Washington Timbers, CFC, Westside..etc).
There are also some really average players on each of those teams.
Moral of the story: I would be more concerned about the coach and the other players on the team than anything else.

Dont listen to some of these parents. If you young ones can get on an ECNL team, do so. 90% of you will get left behind if you dont.
ECNL is here to stay and will dominate local soccer!
