All 2020 'San Diego' Surf Cup(s) were cancelled.

The arizona 2021 branded Surf Cup, is really more of a PDT event in the desert.

Like the Spokane Surf Club is is not the same as the San Diego Surf Club, Spokane is a spinoff.

Just like the Thorns Brand is based in Portland and has affiliate clubs all over the country playing in the US Club ecnl & usys National League.

Surf cup is always a fun trip. Relocation to Arizona for this year is a refreshing change. Same teams, but traffic getting there is negligible compared to the venues near SD.

Eastside, OUFC, Wash Timbers, and crossfire ecnl all sent teams from Oregon. Good luck to all the Oregon players!

Feels more like the Beaverton Cup with ESU, THUSC & LASC -throw in a Utah team in our flight. The actual San Diego Surf Cup has teams from all over the USA and globe. The Cactus cup is more on par with a Summer Tourney in Oregon minus the superspreaders in the hotel lobby.

WaT play a teams from Georgia, Utah and AZ. Not bad. Of course it is crazy this year - there’s a pandemic raging and they had to move the entire tournament to AZ. Just like they had to move the Rosebowl to Texas. These are not normal times. That said, it’s still way better than any tournament here - and who knows when we’ll even have a tournament here. High school is going to be short and crappy compared to normal but all the kids are so excited to play at this point.

Looks like all 03/02 girls teams doing well except for the bsc/hsc/gps/oufc or whatever the leftovers are calling themselves now. Last place in their bracket at Phoenix Cup where the ECNL B team players went to play. Top ECNL A team players will be in Florida next week.

Rose Bowl moved two of the nations top teams to host a must happen CFB national semifinal, to determine a National Champion and protect the flow of hundreds of millions of $$.

The cactus cup in phoenix took average Oregon HS girls club teams just to fill out a bracket during a global covid pandemic.

You should not get these two opposite events twisted, but you had to....
