    What a joke.
Just to be clear what teams locally would beat the Thorns 05s? 06s? 07s? 08s? Or Crossfire or FC Portland’s at those age groups? I am not saying there are not good players in local clubs that are not playing on these ECNL teams, but as a TEAM, not individuals, these are the three top teams in the state for the 05 birth year and younger. Maybe there is an exceptional team here and there, but just the density of committed and talented players is more present on these teams.

Would one super team at each age group make Oregon teams more competitive out of state? For sure. Not likely to happen unless one of these three programs moves to being low to no cost, which will give them a distinct competitive advantage in line with Crossfire Premier’s ability to centralize talent in WA State offering minimal cost for their top team ECNL players.

I would disagree. The new doc has came in with a plan and vision. Let’s not forgot the mess he took over. Laura S was terrible!! Somehow the thorns still took her. New FC doc got rid of Garrett S and has tried the level up and bring new ideas not only to ecnl but the club in general. FC gets bashed a lot on here, but I struggle to find what makes other clubs so so special in comparison. I understand particularly in ECNL it is results driven....so yes FC look poor. Nothing new as some of these age groups have always been terrible thanks to the terrible coaches previously in the program. One might say FC (and Thorns) have a more sustainable model moving forward. They have youth programs to filter players into ECNL. CU have a non existent THUSC program to relay on. If the recurring dries up (which it will) in a few years there will be a shift. Thorns and FC tout that their younger teams coming through will make a difference. There are very few “excellent” coaches in OR....thorns have terrible ones just like FC AND Crossfire. On paper they all have licenses yes, but at this level a few talented players on a team can make the job of these (all) average coaches look easy. If you put all 3 clubs coaches on paper and rank them by experience, licenses etc who does actually come out on top? CU relay too heavily on recruitment. BUT due to results people act like they are Pep....they are not. They are fortunate to have good players and make their job easier. Look at all 3 ECNL clubs side by side; They all offer the same features of Hudl and practices etc, even on paper coaches all have licenses A’s and B’s. There are NO standouts at either Club. Let’s not forget Rosie imploded a good boys team at THUSC cause they hated him! Legg is hated in the soccer community by clubs as much as Brandon at UTDPDX. All in all these 3 ecnl clubs are not special....never will be due to how watered down all programs will be and the spread of talent due to too many clubs.

Their 01 girls ECNL team finished fourth in OYSA Premier. That's not top three, but close enough for horseshoes.

An OYSA club team can join the US Club ecnl even if they don't fare too well in the OYSA leagues or cups.

                      Straight fact, cemented & documented.

Unintended trickle down effect of title ix college athletic aid in womens soccer.

Flying young Oregon recreational girls x-c chasing aid thats about as hard to get as a forgivable ppp loans for companies that were never impacted by pandemic.

                        Handouts have consequences.

See the s show in girls club soccer.

Which clubs do the few “excellent” girls coaches work at? Might be looking for a new club.
Doesnt the Academy have more more player tracking of stats and days of game review that the other Ecnl teams don’t have? Some program or software that colleges use? Do colleges still give bigger recruiting eyeballs to Academy girls, due to not knowing the situation in Oregon?

Why do you say people hate Rosie and Kevin Legg? Looks like the majority of people must like them, no? Why do you think Laura S was terrible? How is the new person different? Do people like the new coach a lot better?
What ever happened to the club that was started by the coach that left Thusc?

You would need to speak to former imploded team members who disbanded after being exposed to these clowns.

The coaching has never been the sell with this lot, it's the SCHOLARSHIPS baby and the ability to pay for travel.

                                It's a scam.
