Sorry but a d1 commit in a non head count activity like women's Soccer is about a impressive as choosing what floor you are staying in your student housing. You folks don't get it, the supply of d1 female athletes does not match the demand (# of schools offering the activity) so programs are forced to recruit up to 10 to 15 players each year (not scholarship level) that get no monies, must pay for school and probably never see the field. This happens year, after year, after year since those 'recruited' squad members give it up after one fall season which re ignites the process for the next recruiting season...

The proof is title ix has created more d1 programs with a limited supply of d1 players available.

This upside down model created the club travel platform of showcasing, since the supply of players doesn't match the demand. Basic manipulation of a wrecked market by club DOC's to suck dollars from naïve parents, it's hilarious on the girls side of things. Travel on Garth.

Westside has more d1 players than thorns and fc portland currently. Salmon creek was easily better than any of the 00 ecnl teams. CFC was ok but wouldn’t have beaten anyone except for fc portland 01 ecnl which everyone in Oregon did at that time. Washington timbers 02 were better than all three of the 02 ecnl teams. Eastside 02 beat crossfire ecnl 4-2 and easily better than fc portland. GPS 03 has much better commits than fc portland and thorns with 4 D1 and 3 Pac 12 commits.

If you think ecnl teams in Oregon make you a better player or have a better shot at committing you’ve been lied to. All you need to do is research and not listen to the BS.

Yep, even Westside and WashT can win a few games by having a really big girl boot the ball as hard as she can so it can be chased down by an equally big girl up front. It's not soccer, but it's the best they can do.

I was watching a pro team in the EUFA champions league and they totally didn't play right.

They dropped back and played a lot of defense and then when they got possession, they launched long balls and their fast, strong forward raced the defender to it. That is not soccer. Even though he scored twice I turned it off because I don't think that has any place in the beautiful game.

The coach should should be fired. They are 2nd in their table under false pretenses. Bad.

CU did well to put the ball in the back of the net today. Seemed like some close games from what I watched on the feeds, but that ability to score is something the Thorns were missing (except 2007s where it was all Thorns).

Glad games were played this fall, hopefully some will happen in the winter/spring!
