ECNL is the established pathway to college for girls. The league now has a near monopoly on the top soccer talent in the country. ECNL probably shouldn’t have let a third club from Oregon into the league, but it happened. There will be a readjustment period over the next year with movement between teams since they all offer the same ECNL platform now. Previously, some girls and families were drawn to the allure of the DA. Now what distinguishes the clubs are the players, coaches, and club philosophies. Top players will always want to be with the best players and coaches. I don’t think there will be one superior club anytime soon, the strength will vary by age group. This year is a very strange year with the collapse of the DA at the beginning of the season and then so much time off because of Covid. Some teams are dealing with injuries. Time will tell how things shake out, but ECNL isn’t going anywhere.

FC is a good boys group, being overtaken by Alliance teams. Girls teams are still alright, but back to being bland and above average.

Not sure what you mean by it sounds like a coach upset with refs. The incident happened while the game was happening. Lots of “do you know who I am” and yes there was a homophobic comment to accommodate the multiple f bombs

Between a FC parent and a thorns parent. Just trying to park and both sides were in the wrong. Police showing up for some reason when it was just yelling back and forth.
But now the girls will not have anyone watching them because they will ban all cars. Which is too bad, especially when a girl gets injured and needs a parent like happened on

They have a 2nd div 02 team. An 03 team that isn't top 4 in WA. A decent 04 team, but not even top in OR or WA, their 06s should be better, the 07s lost their best players to thr other ECNl teams.

WAT is good, but hardly worth promoting to be in a National League. They're not applying to ECNL because they're good. They're applying because they need more reasons for their Vancouver kids to stay on their side of the river.

😆😆 that parent was not Mark P. Mark is shorter and has an accent. That was FC parents creating a mob around 1 Thorns parent. Silly youth soccer. Rumor has it that they were the last of the 01 FC parents. Drama is always following.

This sounds a lot like a coach that was so upset that they didn't win so they shift the focus to a bad ref.

FCP ECNL 01 Girls parents are the gift that keeps on giving. Got all cocky after that 4th place OYSA Premier finish. Then the losses kept piling up. Fun parent group.

Fc portland is a laughing stock among the clubs right now. The boys teams are mediocre and no one hears anything about them, the girls teams and coaches are not respected and wouldn’t even scratch top 4 in Oregon. That’s saying something.
