Yes! Families don't need to rely on sports. My kids have both been doing private training three times a week during the shut down and they are getting a lot better, even though it's costing me almost $1600 per month. We are having a small turf field installed next to our basketball court. It's important to mix in strength and speed with technical soccer training. My kids are getting better. My kids also eat healthy because we spend a ton buying high quality food. My wife is strict about food and invests way too much time and money. We get grass fed beef, organic vegetables , raw milk and fresh eggs delivered. My kids have never had fast food and we don't eat any processed food.
My wife has taken this shut down as an opportunity to get the kids enrolled in French, math and SAT prep classes online and they are locked into a schedule from 9am to 1pm. We have game night every Friday and as much as I think board games are boring we have a lot of fun and laugh a lot.
My wife see clients by video conferencing two hours a day, three times a week and is making more money now than she was before. She just raised her rates and slashed her costs. This gives her a lot of time to focus on the kids. I highly recommend it.
There are a lot of things that you too as a parent can do to replace sports. I am sick of the complaining. People are just lazy and want other people to raise their kids.
