OYSA 03 Girls where do they play now

Certainly the Oregon Premier United 03 girls, the undisputed best girls in OYSA at this age group, don't go to the Oregon Premier League.

They are already playing in the 3rd tier behind ECNL and GDA, do they go lower ?

It would be a huge disservice to move these girls to the OPL Recreational League. I would hope the coaches understand and would be smart enough to not p!ss away a year of soccer for these girls

Most boys and girls that reach this age (10th and 11th graders), and who are serious about trying to play in college, are not relying on local soccer leagues to get to the next level. They travel to showcase events/tournaments, just like GDA and ECNL players (Or DA for boys).

Ha, yeah you don't really believe that do you? Both ECNL and GDA have a playoff structure. It is bad enough these girls are not playing in the ECNL and GDA but a least they have OYSA. They wouldn't be happy at the US Club National league or whatever they call it.

If their coach takes them to the Oregon Premier League their coach will really show his true colors.

Aren’t 03s current juniors? They have one year left and most are either already recruited or close. Don’t think it matters much what they do senior year on the girls side. Just like the players leaving gda to enjoy “lowly” oysa, high school soccer, and other sports their senior year. It didn’t effect their commitments. Playing locally plus a few tournaments/showcases and state cup allows for the most time to enjoy your last year of high school. No dog in this fight but everyone will be fine, no matter the league. Some like ecnl best. Some oysa. Some gda. Some will like the new opl. Find a team you like with a good & supportive coach and enjoy.

What are you talking about? At least they have OYSA??? OYSA is not intended for players who are in 10th and 11th grade and who are also trying to be seen by college coaches. Local soccer leagues (in Oregon) do not help players at this age group with exposure to college coach's, hence the reason why they travel to showcases. Playoff showcases, tournament showcases. Showcases.

The local league is for training purposes, touches on the ball, etc.

              They won't have state cup

              Secound

If they play in the OPL they won't have NNL which does get them noticed by colleges.

Giant mistake not staying in OYSA for these kids.

                Some 03's are sophomores.

Showcases are all over the country, throughout the calendar year. State cup and local league play doesn't assist 03's who are trying to be seen by college coach's other than practice/training. Remember, soccer is pay to play.

Agreed showcases are great. To get into those you need to play and do well in a good league and winning state cup in a giant benefit. Plus the NNL has been very good for these girls. All will be gone with the new OPL

If you are doing this for the kids they have to find a OYSA home, go ECNL or GDA.

The OUFC boys and girls who are 03s will most likely no longer do any “league play” unless it’s PSPL in Washington (same administrator). There aren’t enough teams in those age groups in this new OPL to have brackets beyond two teams. Perhaps OYSA will allow La Amistad to continue with its membership so the better teams at those clubs have a place to play?

Yes, tell that to the D1 and D2 commits on the loaded Vancouver 02 and Capital 01 teams. Save your snake oil for people dumb enough to believe it.

Yep, and they travel to showcases & ID Camps to be seen. This isn't rocket science my friend.

And they get to these showcases by winning state cups and the NNL (this is two showcases in of itself). There is no getting around this. Moving to the low level of the PSPL will hurt them big time.

Oh by the way these players could have had much more success in the ECNL and GDA, no getting around that either.

Pay to play. Showcases are open to who pays for entry. If an 03 team isn't already on the map and qualified to play in them, then it's not worth discussing.

Well, earlier you said the Couver and Capitol teams had lots of D1 and D2 commits. Seems like they have had plenty of success in getting to the next level without ECNL and GDA.

                              So which is it?
