Including one player who got a verbal commit to Stanford.

True, she decided to focus on academics instead of soccer, and is not playing collegiately, but even getting a commit to Stanford is a BFD. Thorns should be proud.

Crossfire ECNL and FCP ECNL have a very longvtrack record of the highest college placements. By far.

          Duh...

          Handouts to the hopeless.

Unequal pay in college athletics favoring girls over boys soccer, comical Rapinoe missed this one in her equal pay rantings. Evidence says its unequal in favor of women on this front.

But seriously who wants to deal with facts these days.

The FACT is that title IX requires equality between male and female sports. It does not require equality between men and women's soccer. Is that too complicated for your meth riddled mind?

Your narrative is not based on any fact, other than your complete ignorance.

Here is what title ix actually is and how it works for schools that get federal aid.

The facts are D1 football programs are allowed 85 scholarships per team.

Title 9 is about equal opportunities for participation and benefits and not isolated to just college soccer.

The rest of men's sports are now 85 scholarships behind (if enrollment is proportionally equal between men and women)

To comply with Title IX, a school’s athletics program must do at least one of the following:

Provide athletic opportunities to male and female students in proportion to their overall enrollment at the institution

Demonstrate a history of continually expanding athletic opportunities for the underrepresented sex

Demonstrate that the available opportunities meet the interests and abilities of the underrepresented sex

A school’s athletics program must also ensure that all students receive athletics scholarship funding proportional to their participation regardless of sex, and that there is equal treatment of all student athletes in all aspects of an athletic program, including equipment, scheduling, coaching, facilities, promotion, etc.

Who the heck cares about Title XI? This is so weird.

The financial benefits are there and have been for a long time. Take advantage of them if you can.

Title IX Ted is entertaining. I think he has one of those tiny clown cars which are always funny.

Title IX Ted isn't WRONG, you know... he understands the economics of women's collegiate sports all too well. Much of it wouldn't exist if the government didn't say it had to.

Where Title IX Ted errs is in thinking that anyone cares. Female soccer players (and their families) are only happy to take the free money, and don't really give a hoot that a scholarship is only being made available to them because some male linebacker is getting paid and that has to be balanced on the women's side of the ledger. If Title IX Ted thinks that his ranting on this subject is going to shame the ladies out of the girls' game (or should), then he's a nutter at best and a sexist pig at worst.

He may also have a point in that families who spend thousands of dollars on travel soccer in the hopes of landing a scholly are making a poor investment, but I know few families who are actually doing that. Most parents who put their kids in club soccer are doing it for other reasons--the kids like to play, it keeps them out of trouble, it gets them exercise, and they learn a skill even if it is unlikely to be financially useful.

But since the women's pro game is nowhere near as lucrative as the men's side, and free academy teams simply don't exist for girls, riding the Title IX gravy train is the way to go for most families, and they're not about to be shamed into getting off just because Title IX Ted doesn't like it, or thinks that it is somehow "distorting" the market (such as it is) for girls and women's soccer.

I love clowns. Can you juggle? You really should try bringing a sledge hammer and smashing a watermelon. That is funny stuff. And also do the balloon animal thing. That is so fun for kids and for parents too that are kids at heart.
