I'd say they're pretty good given who actually plays odp.

Boys are doing well. CA, UT, NV south, and AZ are the big dogs, AK, MT, NV north, and WY stink across the board. Oregon is in middle tier with WA, ID, CO, and HI.

Girls not as well, but most of the top girls are in ECNL or GDA, not OYSA.

Assuming families can afford it, it's good for the kids.

Depends on the state. CA has a big and deep enough talent pool that even with many girls doing one of the travel platforms, there's still enough talent left over to field a strong ODP team. Oregon, IIRC, had to hold supplemental tryouts at a few age groups. Most of the strong OYSA clubs are outside the Portland metro (ETFC, CFC) or are in Washington state, making participation in ODP that much harder.
