$2,200 to play for more of the same BS in Portland metro. Money hungry tosspots that want to stay in the country.
    The are great recruiters though.
    Sorry wrong again.

The idea is to challenge players and the phases of learning are not grouped yearly. Typically there are two to three phases at professional academies. I believe SCA has three phases across the age groups.

Not sure where your getting $2200 from either. 👊🤡

It comes from the 'constant phase' of parents paying.

I spoke to two families. I’m not complaining about the $2,200...either we’re the two families I spoke to.

I think the original poster was complaining about the cost being the same as every other club in the area when SCA is claiming they are different. SCA complains about the big clubs and how much they charge to play. SCA=GPS. JS=MJ

I am not sure why anyone cares. The only thing that amuses me more than the SCA bashing is the SCA defending. It reminds me of a few years ago when ADF formed and all the parents who went running to that club had to defend its honor. I am not sure how a club that has only been in existence for 6 weeks gets that kind of loyalty, other than parents needing to reassure themselves that they made the right decision, and that their kid is indeed a top level player.

And where is ADF now? Do they even have an 07 team, or are they all playing for IFC Purple Huracan Benifica? I guess loyalty is short lived with this group. Word of warning, SCA.

Who is playing for SCA, anyway? I don't know of anyone who went there, though I'm on the opposite side of town; and out here in Washington County there are plenty of blue-chip club options with excellent coaches. (While I have no basis to say that the SCA staff are bad coaches; the usual line from these sorts of startups--that all the blue-chip club coaches are dinosaurs who know nothing of modern football--is patent nonsense).

07 Benifica actually showed up at the Beaverton Cup 4v4 and made it to the final of the 05 gold division, before settling for second place. Those kids are scary good, though I'm told that many of 'em will be playing for the Timbers in the fall, not any local club.

Comparing these two men is like comparing Barcelona to Westside. One is conscious, refreshingly honest and a good human being who we should be praying stays in Oregon. The other is MJ.

As a Westside honk, I'd be honored to be compared with FC Barcelona, and wonder why our club's good name is being dragged into the SCA-vs-GPS dispute, something we have pretty much nothing to do with.

As a Westside Director you mean. Good name? Every kid that plays for your great club either quits or is left broken. I’m sure there are many on this thread that will testify to this.

If I were Cony, I'd be rambling on about futsal, and the need to build 600,000 courts, and similar things.

Besides, you should know the script by now. Kids leave Westside in middle school, come back in high school. Predictable as the weather.

At any rate, I didn't see your club sending four teams to regionals and seeing three of them advance to the quarterfinals (and one to the semis) this past week.

Because the mark of a great youth Soccer club is quarter/semi finals rather than developing young people and being good role models. Laughable comment

$2,200 for isolated technique training so one day I can join Ringling Brothers Circus!

What if the most ‘fundamental’ skill of a footballer was real-time data processing and not isolated technique work.....Hmm..🤔Traditional training sessions at $2,2000/year with an accent might be obselete

                                Yes. Organized and enthusiastically ran.

There’s more to running a club than setting up a bunch of equipment. SCA is no different than clubs that latch on to a badge with a so called philosophy.
