How does this impact CU
How will this impact Crossfire Uniteds recent success? They have definitely prospered with out Premiers top teams in the league.

If this is true, than CU's brief run of relevance is over. At best they are competing for second place.

Question: will thorns GDA be competitive now that all top clubs have left the league? That might be a good thing.

Not much to squawk about here.

Beyond prestige issue, loss of Crossfire is going to be unhelpful for travel cost/time for Thorns and Reign. There operating model was already more expensive than clubs playing in ECNL.
Will they try to convince a local travel partner to join up, or will they go it alone, relying on the NWSL/GDA to attract players, cost be damned? Suspect Washington Timbers would be the mostly like addition to GDA.
If Westside put together a budget based on $4000 per player next year for Thorns, does Crossfire leaving turn it into a money losing program for them (one less non-fly to opponent)?

Please list the local clubs that subsidize everything for their top teams/players. None..They don't have too the Timbers/Thorns do it for them.

Thorns increased their cost by 50% this year to match up revenue more closely with costs; not blaming them, but Westside/Peregrine is trying to balance books somewhat and losing local competition going forward only puts further pressures on cost structure.

Peregrine has millions and like us they spend it on the kids.
