Isn’t XF Premier one of the best clubs in the nation?

In less than two full seasons, GDA has lost top clubs like PDA, Hawks, Slammers, Eclipse, Concorde Fire, FC Stars, and now Crossfire Premier. The league is clearly failing. Would love to hear a response from US Soccer on why these clubs are leaving, and how they can make the league better.

      Won’t hold my breath...

Read the logic from Crossfire Premier. ECNL better fits the needs of elite players.

          How does this impact CU

How will this impact Crossfire Uniteds recent success? They have definitely prospered with out Premiers top teams in the league.

If this is true, than CU's brief run of relevance is over. At best they are competing for second place.

Maybe true, but second to CU Premiere is pretty good.

Question: will thorns GDA be competitive now that all top clubs have left the league? That might be a good thing.

Yes for sure if XF Premier represented 50 clubs not 1 club.

Not much to squawk about here.

Last 2 years they were 'endorsing' the DA.

                  Flip-Floppers

To the core that's the only staple here.

The rest of the nation doesn't matter they only compete with FC Portland in a 3 legged race to nowhere.

                    I even 2nd that.

Beyond prestige issue, loss of Crossfire is going to be unhelpful for travel cost/time for Thorns and Reign. There operating model was already more expensive than clubs playing in ECNL.

Will they try to convince a local travel partner to join up, or will they go it alone, relying on the NWSL/GDA to attract players, cost be damned? Suspect Washington Timbers would be the mostly like addition to GDA.

If Westside put together a budget based on $4000 per player next year for Thorns, does Crossfire leaving turn it into a money losing program for them (one less non-fly to opponent)?

Thorns/Timbers invest hundreds of thousands into their MLS and NWSL DA programs each year. If this was about losing money they would of never done it, it's not about getting a profit off the kids like the local clubs it's about developing players.

Please list the local clubs that subsidize everything for their top teams/players. None..They don't have too the Timbers/Thorns do it for them.

Peregrine has to run an academy; they are rumored to be one of the MLS clubs trying to get out of doing so. Not sure many will buy their "ultraistic" tendencies here.

Thorns increased their cost by 50% this year to match up revenue more closely with costs; not blaming them, but Westside/Peregrine is trying to balance books somewhat and losing local competition going forward only puts further pressures on cost structure.

For a parent at an actual club in the area, a few of us are not even bothered with playing 20K for the travel itenerary we had last year and we didn't even play vs strong teams.

Peregrine has millions and like us they spend it on the kids.

Not sure what you trying to say.

The mass exodus of top teams continues.

Elite players don't have to make sacrifices.

                              Sad.

Tried to tell them they needed to allow high school. But they wouldn't listen. It's too bad.
