With her close working relationship with NWSL would have thought she was safe.

Girls soccer is more fractured than ever. ECNL pulls kids, DA pulls kids, local travel teams pull kids.

You have the best players playing in three different places, which is what everyone doesn't want.

What a mess. US Soccer is not helping.

With US Soccer has established the DA as the top tier for youth boys and girls and the youth top clubs, MLS & NWSL teams buy in, seems like the only outlier group that hasn't accepted reality is the US Soccer girls league ilk. BTW the DA for boys is in year 12 and girls year 2.

Sorry you didn't the structure or pecking order. It happens.

Hopefully US Soccer figures this out and steps out. It is the worst it has ever been.

The goal was always to consolidate talent, but now it is scattered all over.

Just remember, there is a lot of money in youth sports so I doubt anyone will be happy to concede.

Perhaps starting a couple new leagues and having all the talent spread between five or six different pools would be a good next step? The more dilution the better.

It’s good to have multiple options and keep clubs competing. Competition makes everyone better. It would be unfortunate if this move signaled the winding up of GDA. Less competition would not be good.

Unfortunately DA is FAR from establishing itself as a top destination for girls clubs. Why have so many clubs after 1 year returned back to ECNL?

Nobody said GDA was better than ECNL or travel teams. It’s merely another option for better or worse.

                        Lots of options is good.

Having coaching standards and training curriculium is not required by U$ Club league. Simple stuff.

Sorry to break it to you, US Soccer has designated the ‘National Older’ DA as the top flight for youth. Just like MLS is the top tier for Men & NWSL is for women.

NASL claimed they were just as good as the MLS, guess what they folded soon after.

US Soccer has proven the DA is the top flight for Boys & Girls, just ask them.

It’s OK not to be the recognized and established top flight for youth soccer, USYS & US Club are happy to occupy their space for the kids.

                            Life goes on.
