You should hope that ECNL is still in existence because that is the only reason why Thorns are subsidizing your travel. If ECNL goes away, your subsidy will go away and your travel cost will be 2x as much as ECNL because the DA season is 2x as long.

Competition is good for the consumer which is us. DA and ECNL are more similar than they are different with the exception of one allows high school and the other doesn't. Some people like high school soccer and some don't. To each his own!

The US Club league allowed two portland minnow clubs entry, that low a standard tells all what the league is like.

With the bar that low all you need to bring is cash for travel...done

That is in the middle.

That is probably what it cost if you play any type of competitive soccer that requires travel.

You figure $1000 to $2000 for training fees plus whatever it cost to travel.

GDA training fees should cost more because the season is twice as long.

They advertise $3K which is a great deal considering the length of season and amount of travel. I am guessing the cost will be around $4000.

The fact that you are on a thread talking about HS soccer should automatically disqualify you.

$4,000.00 per year is still a good price. Nobody cares about the quality of the opposing teams. The more that drop out the better. The most important thing is wins.

Happens all the time. See the Bundesliga. Teams get out played and out coached yet manage to sneak a couple or six goals in. Just unlucky that’s all.
