The GDA in Oregon is not very good.

Washington has it figured out and let’s gitls do DA and high school at the same time. Smart move.

Washington is simply better at girls youth soccer period.

Too bad Oregon is so diluted and delusional at local clubs.

        Appreciate the reality break.
Washington will have 4 ECNL and 2 DA clubs next year.

Is Oregon any more diluted with 2 ECNL club and 1 DA

1 DA is more than enough for PDX

2 DA is fine for Seattle.

the oregon local club soccer dilution after the da level, (usys or us club)has become the stain oregon can't remove or shake.

us club leagues isnt much these dayz due to the institution of US Soccer national da platform.

dilution for oregon clubs is a result of too many clubs and the fact the top talent chooses our lone nwsl DA and with that no local club attracts much of the slim leftovers talent.

its all spread out, the remaining lower level talent.

seattle has hundreds of elite players and most importantly 2 da's and a handful of destination top flight clubs that attract the best after the DA selection.

          seattle and portland

          ripe apples vs rotten bananas

You are pretty biased in your opinion without looking at the actual results.

As a whole, CU ECNL did better than both the Washington ECNL clubs.

Hundreds of elite players in Washington is Trump like exaggeration.

Dilution effects both Oregon and Washington.

Washington has a few more players than Oregon, but not enough to support 4 ECNL clubs.

The two big differences between PDX and SEA:

              1) SEA is bigger. This means a lot, all else being equal.

              2) WYSA's policies tend to keep any other club from challenging the top clubs (PacNW, SU, CP, Eastside, WPFC in Tacoma) for players. OYSA is far more wild west--and quite a few new clubs form from time to time, often with a "name" coach, and are able to challenge established clubs, at least in certain age groups.

Outfits like ADF or GPS simply won't get traction in Seattle. They won't be admitted into the RPL without a long established track record, and without being (at least) in RPL, the top players won't play for them. So the majority of classic clubs in the Seattle area are neighborhood feeders that you won't hear about, unless you happen to play against them in a regional summer tourney.

Oregon soccer playing girls are still getting recruited to play soccer in college at basically the same rates and to basically the same colleges as always. oysa, ecnl, gda it doesn’t matter which one. The old OPL did the same. 99.99% of Oregon girls soccer end goal is college. The end results are the same so dilution doesn’t matter in regards to the end goal. Just look at the lists of college commits over the years and you will see the truth that it is spread across all leagues. Find a team your dds enjoy and enjoy. All the negativity on here is useless and petty.

Sounds like you are the one who probably should stay off this board and enjoy the ride. Most of this board is about sh:t talking. We are talking about HS soccer the **** talking is all in fun and you are taking yourself way too seriously.
No, I am not at all taking myself seriously. I honestly do not care one way or the other if Jesuit wins or does not. If they do, then that is great. It will have been a magical season, and definitely one of the record books. Believe it or not, it is just high school soccer, and despite what you and others may think, Jesuit plays the same crappy brand of soccer as everybody else. They just play it better! What I was saying is that for all of you PARENTS talking sh:t, that I don't want to bear you on here making excuses if Jesuit loses. In fact, I suspect we won't hear from you at all. Let the girl's play do the talking, and you shut up and enjoy your child having success. It is not, has never been and never will be about you.

the number of girls from oregon hs is about the same going to play in college as 10 to 15 years ago..which is troubling as hundreds of new college programs have been added since 2005.

our oregon club dilution is the cause of girls no longer going in handfuls to top colleges each year and no top club flight club teams to compete with each other in state and the region. Its the perfect formula for the subsidized to thrive. Macroeconomics.

just an fyi the clubs locally you mentioned are short lived marketing stunts that fall as quickly as they rise.. they don't sustain a presence and recruit naive parents of 7 and 8 years who have moved om by age 12.

This whole site is about talking crap. What type of useful information were you looking for?

Most of the time you don’t know who is posting for real or trying to stir the pot. Most people are not going to go on here to boast about their own player or team. It would just target the player or team to get torn down. Think about it. Why would Westview parent come here and post that they think Westview is tie for #1?

I am not sure what brand it soccer you are looking for. It is not like most clubs or even women colleges play a pretty brand of soccer.

US Club has to reach deeper each year for new local clubs to join their league due to the DA. USYS and US Club are simply platforms for club teamz to play each other, since the top shelf is in the DA.

In the old US Club girls league, Oregon had fodder clubs sign up that were simply sisters of the poor that never should of joined..In its current form the are ok vs whats left and what's new and they still are left with an insane travel bill..which is really disengeious.

You mean like how DA replaced Stars of Mass with Seacoast United and Michigan Hawks with Michigan Jaguars?

Two new powerhouse clubs for DA.

You should hope that ECNL is still in existence because that is the only reason why Thorns are subsidizing your travel. If ECNL goes away, your subsidy will go away and your travel cost will be 2x as much as ECNL because the DA season is 2x as long.

Competition is good for the consumer which is us. DA and ECNL are more similar than they are different with the exception of one allows high school and the other doesn't. Some people like high school soccer and some don't. To each his own!

Yup the US Soccer DA clubs are feed the top players from the non DA-US Club & USYS locala ..making them part of the US Soccer food chain...so i guess that's similar.
