MLS Timbers added their brand name to over half of the state's already elite clubs about 7 years ago. Westside, Eastside, Bend, Capitol, RVSC, Eugene & Washington. Those clubs kept their existing first names and added Timbers to the end. Not sure if anything changed on that front either other than gaining 'the' singular most recognized brand for Soccer in Oregon and SW Washington. MLS Timbers.

Thorns already have a DA program not to be confused with club soccer.

Why Eastside did for their girls side is unique and they are the only local club to go this direction. Nike funding perhaps?

What's most entertaining is when ostensibly recreational clubs NEU & BSC merge for business reasons and change their brand to the overused and meaningless 'United' label.

This is Oregon, isn't it great!
LOL! Already elite clubs is a real gem. I spit my coffee out when I read that.

This whole post is hilarious actually. You can’t really think anyone believes that. Great post though. You must have been lol’ing while posting that. :D

Why not! They are all elite clubs anyway! Add a patch and make it official!

Being a bit taller than the other midgets is all that's needed to be elite in Oregon. Those 7 clubs have always been a few inches greater than the non 'Timbers' branded clubs. The differences between all of our minnow clubs is very sleight. Gone are the days of dominant clubs, coaches & players. Welcome to this brave new world.

WST - stong boys and no girls
EST - plays more rugby than soccer
Bend - good atheletes and lack depth to ever really compete
          CFC - who? ;)
Eugene - redheaded step child with a few players and never enough to fill successful teams
Washington - perennial underachievers for their numbers (have to blame coaching)

Keep dreaming.... Except for WST who really has consistently produced strong boy teams, no one else can even pretend to be a top club.

Take the meth out of your coffee. You’d expect at least a more elaborate lie coming from someone like you.

WST - strong boys and one strong girls team at a time
EST - plays more rugby than soccer
Bend - good and privileged athletes. The top have the means to make the drive over the mountain to ECNL/academy/stronger alliance teams
CFC - poured all their resources into one good girls team. Rest are there to pay the bills.
Eugene - whichever team the DOC is coaching gets all the resources. Rest are there to pay the bills.
Medford - too isolated to be relevant. OP didn't even remember they are part of alliance.
Washington - closest to elite at younger ages. Send all promising players to academy/ECNL teams so older teams fall off, except for 02 girls which managed to hold together thanks to a strong core of girls who actually like each other.

LOL. Yes, everyone "looks up" to Bend, Eugene, and Rogue Valley. What in God's name are you smoking?

Or Capitol, or Eastside, or any of them except Washington Timbers. They seem to be the most relevant alliance club.

They're the top clubs in their geographies--of course, they are the ONLY premier-level (or close to it) competitive soccer clubs in those areas.

Who lied to you? No one Is sending anyone to Ecnl clubs. Ecnl clubs can’t even get everyone’s b team players.

                      Ecnl = left overs

How cute. Some anonymous yahoo says something stupid on the internet so it must be true.

                          I’ll play:
WST - strong boys and 2 strong girls teams at a time
EST - hard to find and keep good players, nice new facilities, some good coaching and a couple good teams. Will surprise.
Bend - good and privileged athletes. The top have the means to make the drive over the mountain to ECNL/academy. Lose top athletes to XC and other sports.
CFC - poured all their resources into one good girls team. Rest are there to pay the bills Bound to backfire. In meantime 01 team rules.
Eugene - whichever team the DOC is coaching gets all the resources. Rest are there to pay the bills. Bound to backfire. In meantime 02 team rules.
Medford - too isolated to be relevant. OP didn't even remember they are part of alliance. Lost best players to Academy

Other than 02 team, only Timbers Alliance club to follow the pyramid and encourage their own players to climb to the next rung. Best of the Alliance clubs.

Thorns Academy : restrictive high school rules hurt recruiting. Some good players and some Average. Struggle to get wins. Morale can be an issue.
FC Portland ECNL : history of strong girls teams but need to reinvest in their programs. Still some strong players and teams but warning lights.
Crossfire United ECNL: strong history of girls teams. Has most talented teams in state. Cost can be a factor in recruiting.

Lol at the crossfire United liars. Yet again.

Wouldn’t be the best in state at all but maybe 1 age group. Maybe.

FC Portland is a joke now.

Thorns Academy is not the next rung. They have B team players from many clubs.
