    Why do you care?

Our 04 is in the 04/05 OYFL Premier division and we've seen at least 40 DA players including misc Timbers Academy, BSC, Thorns 04s and even a full team from the Sounders Academy. It's nice to see these players mixing it up with the top non-DA players in the region.

The rules of conduct are clear. Tualatin Indoor doesn’t meet the criteria and the 05 coach isn’t even “Development Academy staff” because he doesn’t have adequate licensing.

        “Outside Activity/Competition

Academy players and teams cannot play in any outside competitions without written permission from the Development Academy staff. This includes any other leagues, high school season, tournaments, State Cup competitions, ODP or All-Star events. There are two potential exceptions to this rule, provided they are approved by Development Academy staff:

Domestic and international tournaments: Domestic & international tournaments may be permitted if they meet Academy's technical standards of one game per day and elite competition. Examples of permitted events include the Dallas Cup, Surf Cup, Disney Showcase, and other International events
Possibility for friendly games: Academy clubs can schedule friendly games to provide players with a heightened development experience. The games must not be part of an organized competition (i.e. tournament, league or camp) as defined in the non-participation regulations, and all competitions must adhere to all Academy standards and guidelines.”

Sounds like a group gone rogue. Hope they have THs blessing on this.

          Holy smokes! Call the police!

My son cross trains three times a week with his DA right now. One day is b-ball, second day is martial arts/combat training and third day is Futsal. Every other week the boys can play a second day of Futsal. There are guest players from other clubs all the time. I guess we just do it differently on this side of the river

              So,

Are you going to rat out TA and Westside for playing the tualatin indoor holiday tournament?

And do you suppose we really care!

Rat them out? So they don’t have written permission? 04 TAs were told they couldn’t do anything like that holiday Tournament. Will be worth finding out why 05s are allowed to.

Sounders Academy??? Not familiar with any DA with this name that has 04 or 05 teams.

I have no idea. I'm not the coach or DoC for either team.

But you seem awfully concerned about whether all the local DA clubs are dotting every I and crossing every T.

Could care less what little DA clubs are doing. MLS DA should be following the US Soccer DA player guidelines and setting the example. Registering the TA 05 DA team in little local holiday tournaments so they can trounce everyone is really just poor form.

timbers 05 da will be playing thusc lithium black who are in div 2. a meaningful game? shows the lack of moral compass of that timbers coach and parents of that team. at least adf had the integrity to play its teams up a year and not on age.

But what if they don't trounce everyone? To quote the Boss, that's where the fun is....

In fairness, I suspect a lot of teams registered not knowing who else was going to be in. OTOH, both TA and Westside probably should have signed up for the 04 bracket. Other than Southside Azul, nobody there that I recognize ("Eagles" might be IFC/LAFC, might not be).

ADF dropped out of the tournament here in Vancouver. Granted it was their top ‘06 Team. They might be the most unorganized club in the area

Careful, that almost sounds as if you are giving a pass to TA and Westside. That is a title they have tightly contested for years....
