Great to hear US Soccer Development Academy signed off on this indoor soccer tournament and Portland Timbers 05 DA have a team entered.

Rumor has it they are playing on age to look for more players to replace the ones they have.

Sad they aren’t good enough to compete in the 04 bracket. Isn’t it basically a Rec tournament?

...TA is playing at Tualatin Indoor. And we wonder why that program is struggling?

Many MLS & D1 youth products from Oregon are also playing in their Men's Tournament. I believe some other youth DA clubs are playing up in Salmon Creek tourneys this coming week as well. It's the Holiday break and it's a great time to play indoors. Not sure what angle you're coming from. Having fun with friends and competing are still the best foundation for participating in sport. Season's Greetings!!

Totally agree and will be sending all these great holiday photos of mls DA players in holiday rec indoor soccer tournaments to Chicago where there is great interest! TH will vouch for everyone so no worries. It’s no wonder all these Oregon DA clubs spit in the face of the US Soccer DA Program mandates when the supposed flagship MLS club is leading by this example!

                With whom?

THUSC doesn't have any elite boy talent.

ADF is sending an 06 team.

Westside will be there but TA has already picked them clean.

There is also a team called "Mexico", but whether or not they are any good I have no idea.

God this is so comical...Westside's 05 last year won...well, exactly nothing. They had losing records against the top 3 teams in OYSA. FC, Crossfire, and ADF. They lost the only 2 decent players they had, and TA was saddled with 2 other bad attitudes from Westside.

Like I said, TA already picked Westside clean. What Copa's team record (Copa DID win this tournament last year, not that it matters much) was has rather little to do with whether or not TA might be interested in their players.

Why you have such a thing for a couple ex-WT kids, I've no idea. ¡Qué envidia!

Sometimes, a holiday tournament is just for fun.

Why are DA clubs sanctioning the Tualatin Indoor Holiday Tournament? How do Portland Timbers qualify that as acceptable DA tournament?

In doing so they will be duplicating the (little DA) mug shots of them currently online now at US Soccer while participating in the Oregon Rec little DA fall league. What's the difference it's all rec, right at these pre teen ages...

The actual MLS players tend to play in the Men's divisions. Sorry no kiddos to watch play in these events.

With the so called 'little DA's' squads already playing in winter leagues at MJCC basketball courts, upper 90skilss turf, a basketball court in tigard, (4) futsal only facilities in clackamas, washington square, Ne pdx & eastmoreland- not to mention salmon creek, tualatin and salem indoor soccer-those 'little DA' clubs are not worried about playing indoor soccer or futsal outside of the local 'little DA' outdoor league in any non-sanctioned activity and neither is US Soccer.

Why is a Portland Timbers 05 mls DA team playing in a holiday indoor soccer tournament against Thusc and Westside? That is against DA rules of no outside tournaments. The 05 coach just not care? 04 TA boys are on a strict break.

Because he can do whatever he wants? or perhaps like so many indoor & futsal teams they are created by parents who organize these activities--since the club and da coaches are on strict unpaid break. Who knows and really who cares?

Only way TA coach can actually "coach" during a "game" since it's not a sanctioned event. If it was he would have to watch from the sidelines. Just another example of how bad the TA is run and how they are only focused on the economical gain at this age....
