Top talent hasn't made their choices of whether to play local club soccer or opt for the Thorns USDA program, in about 10 days the dust will settle, local club or country (USDA) will be decided. Until then may the odds be ever in your favor.

Decisions have long been made. Thornz Asylum isn't getting any top talent. If you're still on the fence, your DD isn't a top talent.

Actually, many families have asked the local clubs to not cash their deposit checks & not run their credit cards til they have the opportunity to tryout for the USDA and if they don't make it (USDA Thorns) they will consider joining their club. either playing in the US Club Soccer league offering or in their OYSA level team, for many last season proved to be an expensive waste of time and energy and the clubs understand this reality. At least the DA is working with the local clubs and will let them clubs know which players have been selected asap so the clubs can back fill their rosters after (DA) tryouts. Clubs got nervous and thougth having tryouts before the DA was a good move but it backfired on them in the end since the DA is subsidized. Live and learn.

Then why are you so worried that you feel the need to post on this thread every other hour?

Jesus, is there really a Timbers employee who spends this many hours trying to figure out how to **** over the clubs?

Scheduling tryouts before the Thorns was never the goal. Timbers/Thorns just shouldn't be dictating tryout dates to clubs.

You and your one crazy "friend" don't add up to "many". Thornz Asylum isn't attracting any of the top talent. Just the facts.

Not worried at all. Just spreading the truth and combatting the Timbers lemming lies.

Four minimum required practices per week.

                  Extensive travel missing school.

                  Ban on high school sports.

                  Missing high school extracurricular activities.

                  Nobody will come watch.

                  Sounds like fun

Yes it is plain that the entire purpose of the Timbers youth soccer venture is not to elevate youth soccer, but to have the entire financial "pie" for themselves. Which means ****ing over the local clubs including the so-called Alliance clubs.

CU and FCP had tryouts at the exact same weeks as last year. You may not like what CU and FCP are doing in terms of their ECNL programs, but they aren't running scared. They are doing the same things they've always done.

This post has Westside written all over it - why so much hate for wealthy white kids?

You really think if the Thorns takes off it won't be the same thing? $2k is more than most local clubs, outside ECNL.

CU & FC P playing in the US Club Soccer regional league and their showcases is around 10K to 12K annually.

Girls that are selected for the Thorns DA teams pay 2k and get more travel and exposure than CU & FC P combined.

Local clubs pay around 2k and only play in Oregon.+ Possible travel tournaments that add expense of course.

Gee which program offers the most benefit and value? Hmmmm. Let's crunch all these difficult figures.

CU had to cancel 2 age group tryouts this week, due to the USDA tryouts and eligibility for OYSA Timbers/Thorns league this coming year. Whose your daddy? Funny stuff.

CU and FCP play in the ECNL - that's a "national league". Cost is $6-7K per year all inclusive.

Girls that tryout for Thornz Asylum (all who try make it) pay 2K to play rec ball and get many miles of travel in the Thornz panel van

Players from ECNL make up 85%+ of all D1 freshman. Players from Thornz Academy make up 0% of all college freshman at all levels.

Gee which program offers the most benefit and value? Hmmmm. Pretty easy calculation for all but the most ignorant lemming cavemen.
