Could do that and then my DD would be on a team that was at least 10x better than Thornz Asylum, and have a 100x better chance of getting into college soccer. Seems a bargain. But if all you can afford is a Yugo then I guess that's almost better than walking...

The only desperation I see is yours.
Wasn't even a good player and clearly isn't a very smart coach to get sucked into the Thornz Asylum.

The info guide says 3-4 practices. That's not bad.

US Soccer did invite every club in the US to apply, but only a few were selected from across the US. In our neck of the woods none of our local neighborhood clubs were selected as expected. Since we have a NWSL Pro team Portland Thorns US Soccer offered the DA to all the Pro clubs first, Portland took it and is funding it for the girls which is unheard of, that fact alone kept our local clubs out of the DA consideration. Maybe in the future one of our local clubs could be a candidate, it's doubtful with the current talent pool available in the area.

If you want to pay 10K for a damaged Yugo that could be considered better than walking..off a cliff. Great point.

ECNL put a ton of kids into college this year.

                What club is called ECNL?

There is a listing online of what states and clubs put a ton of kids into college this year.
Oregon wasn't on that list of states and none of our clubs put kids into top colleges with athletic scholarships. Same as it ever was.

If Thorns GDA follows USSDA's mandates, they will have "a minimum of 4 trainings per week".

And charge no try out fee.

Doesn't matter what club, it still put more girls in college soccer than Thornz Asylum or Timbers Alliance clubs.

Thanks for the laugh Timbers lemming caveman. Good luck in the Thornz Asylum GDA rec league.

And BTW, there is no women's pro soccer in the USA. It's marginal to call it semi-pro.

They got a few community college over the years.

I heard 1 went to community college but then didn't make the team.

Plus the NWSL is very unpopular throughout most of the country. Pro pay is very very low.

Will they last very long? Opinions?
Word on the street is that Thornz Asylum is getting ready to close up shop. They had spies at the ECNL tryouts and realized that truly ALL of the top talent has opted for ECNL so they're working out a plan to "exit gracefully".
