And both those ECNL clubs have wins against teams in the top fifty in the country. But to belong you have to do it week in and week out which is very hard to do. Playing against top teams with very different styles, size, speed and depth is a huge learning experience. OR isn't there yet, none of the teams are, we need to get over ourselves and learn what it takes to compete out of state!

I agree with most of this statement. There is some logic to it. FC beat a Colorado team for one of their 2 total wins, but which top 50 team did CU beat? I know they lost to at least one team that isn't ECNL and ranked in the 300s.

Money Talks

There will be a draw starting with the 04/05 birth years (someone else said that but included the 03s). I think the 03s are a little on the fence. 04s and beyond will be trending GDA over ENCL. By next year, even with an expected rocky GDA transition, 05 and 06s will have there eyes on the $2000 prize. Parents (I hope) will begin to flex a little more muscle as the monopoly is busted. Those of us who played a Div 1 sport know that its nice not to have to pay for travel, uniforms, equipment food & lodging...
