PULLING? are you suggesting that these players are forced to play soccer outside of their alloted training time? does their current club have the rights to the player's time? other clubs/programs have done this and ARE doing this now. if you want a good team you must seek good players.

Several DA clubs are hosting ID sessions this month. DA programs, if run correctly, will not rely on traditional tryouts to form their teams.
What other clubs are offer ID sessions? Anyone know dates?

By waiting I meant attending every practice and game for two years while being strung along by coaches who keep saying they will have a place....

...until super agro parent forces their over-hyped player onto said roster, just as they have done to multiple teams over the past few years, displacing players and families who apparently don't know the right way to "do it"

and that's exactly what i mean. they must actively pursue getting selected, but being the best out there. not one of the best. the best.

i coached there the previous eight years and i told them that every day. (they didn't listen, but they were told.)

Hard to be the best when they only offer two practices a week for $1650 and also deter kids from outside training.

Contact clubs themselves. Stop being lazy - and you shouldn't trust everything you see on this site either

04s recruited over winter break and encouraged to skip team trainings in order to train with BSC DA under the promise of being "scouted" someday. Time will tell who stays at the six "little DA's" and what players move on to the higher level Timbers DA team that will play in Washington. With those 120 "little DA" players only playing themselves over and over again how will anyone get better? The DA team playing in Washington will be the only team getting advanced competition.

it's hard, but not impossible. you are proving the point here. you keep mentioning two trainings per week. If you only accept two practices a week, that's all you'll ever be. a two practice per week player. If you do what's best for you, attend every one of those two per week, plus work on your own, or with a trainer, or with friends, or hell even with another team, you might move up. you must be THE BEST player on the field if you want to take the place of someone already on the team. you can't be as good or even slightly better, you must be someone they cannot afford to lose.

that ^^^ can be done for free. and every day of the week.

no, missing your money won't change much for the club. there's always someone willing to pay instead of you.

All true but posters point is other clubs offering similar pricing but offering three days a week training. If clubs have no duty to offer more practice days because kids can train on their own and play with friends than why have DA four days a week? Why RTC? Why Pre-ECNL?

You don't get it. The other posters point is; no one person, club, coach, training is going to make little Johnny a good player except little Johnny. He has to want it. He has to want to train everyday and work with the ball everyday and eat right and workout. He has to want these things not Mom or Dad or the DOC. He has to want them so bad it drives you crazy. He want to watch games on TV. Go to college game, watch the academy teams. He has to want this. Thats how little Johnny becomes a good player, and even then he still might not be good. He has to have some natural ability.

Or just parents with a Dream and a giant checkbook.

And the more popular soccer gets in this country, the more natural ability he'll need. He'll also need the financial & time support needed to concentrate this intensely on soccer.

                                Little DA ID sessions

One of the "Little DAs" (Crossfire) just posted their ID session for the boys 05/04s on their website; recruiting is in full swing.
