Eastside wa is 10x the club that either of the Ecnl Oregon clubs are and even those clubs wouldn't dispute that. How did you get so full of it?

It's also funny because onyx was never developed with Ecnl. They actually dropped off after they did if you compare games against top teams before and after Ecnl.
Eastside fc of wa is 10x the club. Onyx won a state title with all the other thusc teams doing terrible. The same year onyx won their state title, eastside club won 5 state titles...that's including the best teams in Washington.
Watch as eastsides B teams beat Oregon Ecnl A teams.

I don't think Onyx has underachieved, the competition week in and week out in ECNL is tough. Keep in mind when Onyx was playing against the top Oregon teams they had a GD of +70 and only once had they advanced to Semis at Surf. There is OYSA and there is eCNL and the gap of competition is MILES apart.
Regarding wasting money on ECNL and then heading to PSU I actually can't disagree with you. I know many of the college coaches have made offers contingent that the players continue playing ECNL

It happened this year even though SU has ECNL. And Eastside is a shell of it's former self. It had 1 good team but they've graduated. Again, best players from Eastside move to XF. This is why XF will be one of the half dozen clubs in the nation with teams in both ECNL and GDA. The rest will have to decide this spring. SU will go the GDA route because they know they don't have the talent to play ECNL.
Some girls did leave with TR and some EFC girls did go to SU. You don't think SU
ain't recruiting quietly? EFC might not be a top club, but they do have great coaches,
great fields, albeit frickin' cold, and supportive parents. I wouldn't count them out, yet.
Granted, SU 15+ might not be that great, but definitely the U14 this year are at
par with XF during RCL. The thing to watch is who goes to the next tryouts in May
and where. But of course, there will be open practices after state cup, so who knows?
You must be a dad who is worried sick that XF is losing its mojo since they don't
have an monopoly in Seattle/eastside anymore. That power 5 scholarship dream
slipping away? :)

Next season OR will have 1 GDA and 2 ECNLs? Does the addition of a GDA shift the make up of the rest of the teams in OYSA?

For 2003 & 2004, separate GDA teams will draw them in like flies. The parents of the better players at this age are all convinced little Suzie is the next USNT superstar. Those dreams are easy to exploit. At 2003, the big question is will GDA manage to nab the Tikis & the WT-CopaTS talent? Will GDA be able to pull them out of a good thing? I predict one or two go & then the rest fall quickly like dominoes. This will leave 2003 & 2004 OYSA completely decimated.
