Another loss for Oregon today at Utah. O-5 in conference. What was that talk about how Oregon was now going to face teams that were beatable? I'm sure Oregon is looking at the other teams who have yet to win in conference like Washington and WSU and OSU as conference wins, but that's exactly how those teams are looking at Oregon.

For me, I watched the game and I thought Oregon played a very tough match. They wore down at the end which isn't surprising with the elevation. Utah has a great team and made one play but I think they would be the first to say that Oregon was no pushover. They are a greatly improved team from last year.
And my final thought regarding Oregon is that they have FAR more pressing matters to worry about with that dumpster fire across the parking lot in Autzen. My guess is Mertz could go 0 for the rest of the season and they wouldn't even notice.

And I never said the class was better, I am simply disturbed by your childish behavior. The fact that you cannot realize how ridiculous you are being, doesn't just makes you childish, but kind of dumb.

Well, her contract expires at the end of the season. So if they don't notice, then I guess she, and you, know what her fate is. I'm sure Oregon wouldn't mind her coaching next year without pay. But I doubt she will do that. And my name is about any one of thousands of people who are paying attention. And you are an idiot if you think that playing the game tough is enough to win the sway of at the AD. Moral victories don't win new contracts. And Utah isn't a great team. Sheesh, how stupid are you? They are slightly above average in the Pac 12 which puts them above average nationally in P5 teams.

Take out the favoritism when comparing classes. That's all. Good, great, she got a Cal offer. Save me the "she's a part of the greatest Pac 12 class that came from Oregon ever" speech. Compare apples to apples, that's all. Favors and friendships don't count dad. Although, being former frat bother and drinking buddy with the current Cal AD is pretty cool. Probably scores you some sideline passes to Cal football games. Not bad.

The above post I quoted the wrong post, I was responding to the CAL recruit obsessed guy above the post I quoted.

Guarantee you she'd be having an easier time of things if she were at a school like San Jose State which has thousands more good local recruits and doesn't have to compete in the Pac12. Also don't get why any Oregonian would want to get rid of Mertz and have much less of a chance of their dd getting recruited to Oregon.

Just take a look at the standings, Oregon and Oregon State are right down there at the bottom, the only win less teams in the league.

Programs are only as good as the kids they can recruit. The talent they get in the PNW isn't as good as they get to choose from Col, UT and California. NW schools get California leftovers. Cal schools pluck best NW talent. You can blame Mertz, Linus ect all you want but a new coach doesn't change that.

WSU was in the tournament in 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011. Just so you know they take the top 64 teams in the country out of over 300 D1 programs. Much more selective than say the men's NCAA basketball tournament. Oregon State was in 2011 and hasn't been in since. And Oregon, not in a looooooong time. So it's not the Pac NW schools, it's the Oregon schools. Washington schools are making visits to the tournament fairly regularly.
