UPDX "underestimated" the defending state champs, rostered scrubs, and got run through 4-1? LOL. Is this a one-time excuse, or will we be hearing it every time UPDX gives up points?

He did say the best 2006 CLUB team, which one would assume excludes the TA.

But then, a lot of UPDXs 06s played up back when they were still at FC, but there they were playing up in the DA, not in the Presidents Cup division.

If OPFC 05 players were being offered spots on the UPDX 04 team... that might be an interesting proposition.

But the UPDX 05 team is clearly a step down. And if it is true that UPDX is carrying more than 18 players on its roster... that could make for some ticked-off players were it to happen.

So the TA players you took on as a group and have talked up for months are the “weakest” players in the pool at updx? We all saw who was In Seattle and on the field. Stop with the excuses and just be comfortable with the fact that you are still not that good even after “recruiting” essentially a whole new team. And as much as it would benefit the rest of us in the league to have opfc get weaker by losing a player or two I just don’t see it happening at this point.

Are the 05s at United Pdx a “team” or just a large pool of around 30 kids that are being rotated in and out of games based on who the competition is that week? We heard from a parent in Seattle it’s the latter and the kids not being rostered in premier level 05 games are not in a happy place. Are “team bonding” events for the whole pool?

Of course the Slytherins are probably used to this. OTOH, riding the pine for TA was free, and you got a cooler jersey to wear. And if you weren't going to get to play on a road trip, you didn't have to go (funny how that changes when it's not Mom and Dad paying the travel costs).

Speaking of jerseys--what's with CFC dropping their reds and blacks and now wearing Timbers green? Nobody is fooled; you're just an alliance club, like any other... about the only thing CFC has in common with a pro team is charging for parking.
