Week 2 - same story, we didn’t have players, so I guess we asked for help from our younger team. Got beat. Crossfire mom goes crazy that they got revenge! OMG

Week 3 - same story, not enough players. Other GK was asked to play both games along with #91. Now crazy-ass Washington Timbers parent says we put him in both games in order to win.

It’s futsal people. We are trying to have some fun here. There is no FC conspiracy to beat you by trickery or bending the rules. Don’t be such a-holes about beating us or losing to us in friggin futsal. Win or lose with just a modicum of grace.
I am guessing that the quote wasn't from Washington Timbers but rather someone from another club watching the games. Seems suspicious. I don't see an issue discussing all things related to the B05 boys whether futsal, DA etc. I don't see any reason to crow week to week about successes (in Futsal especially) at the expense of other teams/clubs. 12 year olds should be developing skills both socially and athletically and parents should have developed tactfulness by now (this forum brings out the worst in parents it appears). Unfortunately, everyone sitting behind a keyboard feels empowered to be a turd. Grow up. BTW, it seemed the Wa Timbers moved their leading scorer to both games against FC so why aren't people complaining about that? Because it who gives a rip. Teams fill needs because kids get sick/hurt/have family commitments etc. Coaches rotate based on positional need or to see what might click. Futsal should be used to mix it up. There isn't an evil master plan just opportunities to do something different.

Why isn’t Timbers Academy doing Futsal?

They try to mingle as little as possible with the local clubs for fear of losing a game or three!

Who cares about games. Why isn’t TA getting any Futsal training? Wasn’t it supposed to be mandatory?

The '05 TA did just play the '05 Wash Timbers DA team last Saturday. 4-0 win for the TA. They're doing something right with the program in Beaverton.

And here I thought the TA was a team full of bad attitudes and Westside rejects who would get pasted in any matchup with the TOVO-trained machine from north of the Columbia, and likely be beaten by FC and Crossfire as well.

                      Snort.

So do you believe everything you read on the internet? Just because somebody (especially on an anonymous chat board) says something about their team or another, does not mean they are correct. Same with the latest report about the futsal game? It might be true, or it may not....and who really cares? Until you see the TA team play one of the DA teams, than it does not matter. Stay frosty.

It’s great to hear they are scrimmaging local DA clubs. Hopefully all the kids got equal play time since many hardly play in the season games.

I'm reluctant to post this because I imagine it's going to spark all kinds of outrageous debate but, this score misrepresents how the game played out. It was 0-0 at the half and 0-0 some time into the second half. The Timbers came in with a shortened line-up due to the fact that they were missing three starters [2 defenders and a forward (TOVO). At the half the TA did a complete line change and by the end of the second half the Washington Timbers we're completely gassed could not recover on defense nor move the ball much past Midfield. I have to say though that I am impressed with the way that the TA moved the ball. They were very crisp in their execution and they have two defensive mids that really stood out. They're very similar in stature and how they look and they pretty much had their way the entire game with possession ( I'm guessing possession was 65% to 35%). I've always been a fan of their starting right wing They changed my opinion of the TA and I'm pretty sure they would be beat the little DA's a majority of the time. Lots of depth there and from my account they had 22 to 24 players. That being said, I know of a lot of talented players that would fit in well with that team if they were to try out. I don't see that out of the top 12-15 TA players there wouldn't be pretty intense competition for roster spots between the top two or three players from FC Portland, Crossfire and Washington Timbers. Oh, and ask to be noted that the TA parents seem to be on their best behavior and were cordial and well-behaved.
