You are an idiot for suggesting this. DO you think the USSDA gives two craps about individual team tryouts. You must be kidding. No one outside of your circle cares that you are butt hurt because the tryouts weren't fair in your eyes. Get over it. Life is not fair. Be better so they have no choice but to pick you.

Now shut up and go away. Enough already

Fck u, Realize this: you are not the only opinion that matters. If the timbers had enough integrity to give us a better product and environment we would have our son play for the academy. Just know this, if that happens your self entitled little snowflake will be back at his club team because there are several kids in the market whose parents choose to avoid the current mockery that would also bring their kids- so be careful what you wish for and don't think that others who post on here don't know who you are. Your "anonymous" bravado is getting out of hand...

Oh, I do. I am sick and tired of listening to you and others like you, (a bunch of sanctimonious d-bags) who can't stand being exposed. Face it, your son is not all that. News flash, none of our kids are either. The difference is that those of us on here who speak out about the shadiness of the Timbers, are labeled as being jealous, or are made to be marginalized as if we do not matter. The joke (besides being in your pants) is on you. Your son's are being exposed. The Timbers Academy is being exposed. And as a previous poster (actually, MULTIPLE posters) pointed out, the team is going to struggle and kids are going to burn out and quit. Why? Because a lot of kid's are out of their league and over their head.

And for the record I do not have to state whether I am a "tuff guy." You either are, or you are not. Doesn't matter what you or I say.

I played football. I also skated and biked without a helmet. Didn't wear a seatbelt as a child either... The times have changed, and we now as the parents have changed as well.

Oohhhh, he is a really good little player. Wait and see. Thanks for the clarification though. I couldn't think of any of the 4 players that shouldn't be there.

That's just mean. I am sure you are not the epitome of physical perfection. Karma is going to be rough on you.

I say what I mean, and I do not say it meanly. He is tiny. There is no getting around that. He is also a grabby, shoving defender who flops and does not get called for fouls because he is smaller than everybody else. Sorry, but he is not that good. Unless of course you want to view him differently than other kids, because of his size.

Complaining that an 11-12 year old is "small", in the context of soccer (a game at which smaller people can excel), is petty. Especially a kid that hasn't gone through puberty yet--who knows what will happen to his body, or the body of whatever child you cheer for. He doesn't get graded on the curve for his size.

And usually, smaller kids are MORE likely to get called for fouls in encounters with larger ones, as smaller kids, in order to get leverage, often have to use their shoulders.

At any rate, there are plenty of short physical holding mids in the pros; do you complain that e.g. Diego Chara is too short?

Whatever beef you have, you should consider talking to someone about. Obviously, you're angry about a lot of things--and spare us the baloney about "exposing corruption" in the Timbers' organization because a few kids got picked that you don't agree with.

I stated (and accurately I might add) that the 1/2 player who is on Timber's Academy is in acuality more of a Mundial player. That is not a put down of WST, their team designations, or even the player. It is just a fair, and un-biased of his playing abilities. Take the home club blinders off, and you will be able to admit it yourself. That is all I am saying.
Good. (That you're not with Westside, that is). The fewer toxic parents on our sideline, the better.

You guys all got this wrong. This player that you're talking about more than likely was getting private training from the Timbers staff. If you want your son to play for the Portland Timbers DA all you have to do is sign him up for private lessons or be like BB and pay the salary of one of the coaches so your son makes the DA.

God aint that that the truth? We just got ride of a few (to the Timbers Academy) but still have far too many for my taste.
